Villa Ariodates commands an excellent position above the sea close to Sivota Bay on Lefkada. Its architectural style and soft Mediterranean hues echo the island’s past Venetian heritage.

Villa Ariodates has a long open plan living room with separate living and dining areas. Its wooden vaulted ceiling adds a sense of grandeur to this wonderful property. The styling is classical and elegant with an original contemporary art collection. The adjoining open plan kitchen is smart and well equipped. Double french windows lead from the living area to a veranda that runs the length of the villa. This veranda is perfect for alfresco dining with tremendous views of the iridescent blue of the Ionian Sea.

From the living area, doors lead to two double/twin bedrooms each with its own en-suite bathroom and private sea-facing veranda. A spiral staircase from the living area leads down to the ground floor where there are two further double/twin bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms and their own separate verandas with views across the bay. 

Outside, there are spacious grounds with terraced gardens. Steps lead up to a private swimming pool with fabulous views over the sea. A pathway leads down to the seashore where there is a wooden deck for swimming, diving and fishing.

The nearby picturesque fishing village of Sivota with its pretty marina is a favourite stopping off point for yachts. Its harbour is lined with traditional houses, a few essential shops, some traditional tavernas and some good café-bars. Car hire is recommended. Boat hire can usually be arranged.
