Villa Cupid is an early 20th Century mansion that has been sensitively restored. It combines ease of elegance with country charm. The setting is totally private. A country path dotted with wild flowers skirts the edge of the village. At the end of the path, you glimpse a pretty garden gate and the villa nestled amongst flowers and century old olive trees with the gentle blue of a heart-shaped swimming pool.

Stepping inside the house, its elegant style is evident in the beautifully chosen antique furnishings, lamps, textiles and rugs. The inviting central reception room has a comfortable living area with fireplace, dining for four, a second fireplace and a well equipped kitchen all exuding country charm. The adjoining shower room has been carved out of the stone with hand-cut creamy marble surrounds.

Stone stairs lead to the gracious hallway of the upper level that opens out onto a second living area. Doors from the hallway lead to a patio garden at the rear of the house. There is one double bedroom with a small balcony overlooking the swimming pool and a second double bedroom with windows overlooking the garden. The whole mood is one of understated aristocratic elegance.

The garden is filled with rosemary, lavender and roses with a dining table set under an olive tree beside the swimming pool. Gaze across at the olive groves, velvet cypress forests and thyme-scented mountains. Villa Cupid is a rare treasure whose stillness, tranquility and beauty will stay with you long after you depart.

Rates are for two persons - 15% more for each extra person.
