This traditionally Greek cottage villa is on the charming island of Angistri in the Saronic Island group, Greece and sleeps 6.
Perfect for a family looking to experience traditional Greek life on the lesser known island of Angistri.
On the pine-scented island of Angistri, this rustic little house has been charmingly and cleverly restored. The flower filled courtyard leads to the oldest part of the house which now provides a traditional sleeping area for three. Towards the rear of the courtyard are steps leading to an open veranda with views of the nearby island of Aegina. The main part of the cottage has a cosy sitting-room with fireplace, dining area separated by an old wooden screen, a dreamily peaceful master bedroom and a modern kitchen and bathroom. A steep staircase accesses a single bedroom with its own little ‘ouzo terrace’. Beneath the main house lies what used to be the animal quarters which has now been refurbished to provide a large room which can sleep a further three.
Since Angistri is one of the smaller islands of the Saronic Gulf, Danae cottage is well located to access all beaches and amenities and some lovely walks can be explored during the cooler months of the year.
From Pireaus (Athens) it takes 45 minutes by high-speed catamaran. The larger island of Aegina is a 9 minute boat ride away and offers some great water-sports facilities, an ‘aqua-land and other day trip activities.
