The beautiful village of Megalochori makes a welcome and peaceful alternative to the busy tourist attractions of Fira, Oia and the jostling of the summer crowds. Protected from the strong Cycladic winds, the traffic-free winding lanes lead directly to the village square with its pretty churches and picturesque Venetian bell towers.

A gentle stroll, 150 meters from the heart of the village of Megalochori and tucked away, the Stone House provides an idyllic setting for a couple and is perfect for rekindling romance or a honeymoon.

The history behind the villa is that it was used to produce Vinsato which is a sweet nectar-like dessert wine and unique to Santorini. Two cylindrical well-like troughs which were used to collect the delicious nectar have been preserved and converted into unusual and very effective lighting features.

The Stone House consists of a luxurious open-plan suite with bedroom and living area, with a small kitchenette to the front of the villa. The spacious Moroccan style bathroom features hand-crafted brass fittings and has a stone banquette and large shower.

The enclosed cobbled courtyard and stone walls punctuated by indigenous plants and flowers create a very appealing space in which to relax and enjoy the Greek summer climate. A private plunge pool with amazing night lighting and massage jets completes this charming and luxurious hideaway for lovers.
