Pretty Greek Villas

The Old Vineyard consists of two houses that share a swimming pool above the fishing village of Fiskardo. The first house sleeps four guests in one twin and in one double bedroom. The second house sleeps 6 guests in one double, one twin and a bedroom with bunk beds. These lovely Greek villas are best rented together for a large group of up to ten guests and have the most glorious views across the old vineyard to the island of Ithaka.

The Old Vineyard is a stone walled property with stunning, panoramic views over Fiskardo Bay with the island of Ithaka in the background.  The Old Vineyard consists of two separate houses nestled just above an ancient vineyard with a swimming pool in between the houses surrounded by a stone-walled courtyard garden offering complete privacy.

The first house has two bedrooms each with its own en-suite bathroom:  There is one double bedroom and one twin bedroom both decorated very beautifully.  There is an elegant living room with dining area and small kitchen.  All rooms have french windows leading out onto the large terrace just above the vineyard to take advantage of the fabulous views.  There are steps leading down from the terrace through this lovely vineyard where all the old stone walls have been retained.  There is also a huge old fig tree on this side of the terrace which is in a wonderful spot to curl up in the shade and immerse yourself in the stunning view.  A small pathway leads to the central courtyard where the swimming pool is situated.

The second house, situated on the other side of the pool has three bedrooms:  There is one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a 2nd double bedroom plus one children's bedroom with 2 bunk beds.  These 2 bedrooms share a bathroom.  There is also a living room with dining area and a larger kitchen than the first house.  Again, the house is beautifully decorated throughout with french windows opening out onto the front terrace with the same lovely views.   

The property has air-conditioning, Satellite TV and DVD, as well as a daily housekeeper included in the price.

The Old Vineyard together with Villa Maistro were completed by the same architect in 2006 using local stone and traditional techniques of stone masonry.  The entire property is one of the most cleverly designed that we have seen to date since the houses are perched on a terraced hillside each benefiting from the same spectacular views and surrounded by stone walled gardens which allow for total privacy if rented separately or which are subtly linked for larger parties needing to rent more than one property.

The Old Vineyard is well situated being only a very short drive from the picturesque fishing harbour of Fiskardo with its excellent tavernas, shops, restaurants and café bars.  Foki Bay with its idyllic beach is about a 10-15 min walk away or a few minutes by car.
