The Scents of Summer is a delightful, whimsical house with a secluded garden full of red roses, sweet-smelling jasmine, wisteria-clad bowers, delicate pink honey-cups and cascades of pastel-coloured bougainvillea.  Situated within the heart of Pitioussa, one of the island’s most sought-after locations, the villa is within easy walking distance of the Old Harbour and a small, local beach.

The property is designed on three levels.  The main house is on the upper two levels with a separate guesthouse below.  The main house has an open plan living room with dining area and kitchen.  This is a wonderful room with elegant antique furnishings including a beautiful dining table for 6.  The kitchen is a proper family kitchen with everything that one would expect in a home.  The terracotta tiled floor adds a coolness underfoot.  Off the main room is a guest WC with shower.

On the upper floor is a lovely double bedroom with a large veranda.  From this vantage point, you see the beauty of the garden and the sparkling water of the swimming pool prettily mingling with the colour of the wisteria-clad pergola just below.  Along the hallway is a very pretty 2^nd bedroom with 2 single beds.  Between the rooms is a family bathroom with shower.

The separate guesthouse is reached by stone steps leading from the side of the main house.  This is a spacious part of the house that can sleep up to 5 guests.  There is one bedroom with 2 single beds, a bedroom with 1 double bed and 1 single bed and one bathroom with shower.  In addition, there is a small kitchen with a table for four, a fridge and 2-ring hob.  There is also a small living area within this room where there is also a sofa bed.

The chief delight of this property is its lovely, colourful garden with private pool nestling amongst the blooms.  An elegant ‘loggia’ above the swimming pool has an outdoor dining area for 8 guests.   The pergola dripping in wisteria provides welcome shade on the front terrace.

With the privacy and sense of seclusion at The Scents of Summer, you can forget that you are only a few minutes walk away from all that Spetses has to offer – its restaurants, bars and cafes in both the Old Harbour area and Dappia, the local coves and beaches for a refreshing sea-dip, or simply a stroll along the Old Harbour to see a bit of boating action.
