Pretty Greek Villas
Kea (Gia)

Seductive and wild is the landscape of Kea with its rugged hillsides terraced in ancient stone walls. From its hill-side position, Villa Bellavista has magnificent views far out over the Aegean Sea

Artistically designed and very charming Cycladic style house surrounded by nature and with stunning sea views.

This is a very welcoming and friendly property which has been designed perfectly for a large family or group of friends to have fun and enjoy long, easy summer days. The main part of the house has an open plan living room with dining area and kitchen. It is very stylishly and comfortably decorated with many original artistic touches. Windows open out onto the sea breeze and the view of the endless blue of the sea just below. A corridor leads down the hallway to a very spacious and light bedroom with two single beds. This room has doors leading outside to one of the terraces. Next to this bedroom is a bathroom with shower. Opposite this bathroom is another hallway leading to the master bedroom which has its own en-suite bathroom. This bedroom is a very peaceful space with French windows leading to the main terrace.

There are two guest wings: There is a separate guest house with double bed and en-suite bathroom next to the main house. Below the main house is a 2nd guest house with double bedroom and en-suite bathroom.

The property has WIFI, dishwasher, washing machine, TV and DVD. The property has been designed to avoid the need for air-conditioning so there is always a breeze circulating throughout the house making it cool at all times of the day.

Summer life in Greece is all about outdoor living and Bellavista has some wonderful areas to relax throughout the day where guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings and the immense views over the landscape and sea. In front of the house is a large courtyard-style terrace that forms the heart of the outside space. Here there is a large outdoor dining area and living area. In-built stone benches and walls are scattered with upholstered pillows and cushions in colourful abundance. The barbecue terrace is situated close by. Outside the first guest house is a large covered terrace with a double hammock from which the aroma of lavender and rosemary mingles with the salty sea breeze. A chair sculpted from driftwood and perched in the middle of the hillside with just the sea in front is the perfect spot to empty one’s mind.

A beautiful walk through the hillsides of about 15 mins brings you to Otzias beach. This is a lovely horse-shoe shaped beach set in a landscape of green valleys, trees and wild flowers. Guests can enjoy the soft sand and azure waters with tavernas, restaurants and cafes close by. Within a 10 min drive is the main port of Korissia which has shops, tavernas and cafes as well as small supermarkets. The historical town of the island – Ioulis – is also just a 10 min drive away.

Kea is an island which has escaped the influence of mass tourism and therefore offers something really attractive to the independent traveller. It is located just an hour’s ferry ride from Lavrion so can be easily accessed from Athens airport. Kea has retained a sense of timeless tranquillity and its many coves and bays, excellent restaurants, beautiful architecture and unspoilt nature makes it a perfect choice to experience Greek island life at its best.

Seductive and wild, from its hillside position Bellavista has views far out over the Aegean Sea which seems so close you can almost touch the sailing boats as they pass by. This wonderful Cycladic house sleeping 8 guests is just 15 mins walk through thyme-scented hills to Ortzias beach with its azure waters and soft sand, and tavernas, restaurants and cafes nearby.
