Cool, contemporary styling, this modern two bedroom villa with private pool and garden is within walking distance to a beach and very easy driving distance to a traditional village. Great for families.
This villa is ideal for design-conscious guests who want their own private pool, easy proximity to a beach and a few traditional tavernas up the road to enjoy local produce with a few glasses of the excellent local wine.
From the traditional village of Kleismata, a quiet country lane leads down towards the sea. 180m before the beach, three age-old olive trees mark the entrance to Dias Retreat. The villa is situated in a large, private estate looking out over the uninhabited island of Dias.
The villa has been recently completed in the traditional Italianate style of the island. The dusky terracotta exterior blends perfectly with the minimalist style interiors. The entire ground floor is a spacious and light open plan space with living area, dining area and very smart kitchen – the white, modern furnishings throughout are comfortable and ultra-stylish. Large glass doors lead out to the pool terrace and outdoor dining area overlooking the pool and garden with the island of Dias shimmering in the distance.
From the open plan living area, stairs lead to the two bedrooms on the upper level – a master bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, and a bedroom with two single beds with en-suite bathroom with shower. Both bathrooms feature ochre-coloured marble and both bedrooms have views over the sea.
The villa has air-conditioning throughout, TV, DVD, i-pod docking station and WIFI.
Dias Retreat is surrounded by a large garden with lawns and outdoor dining terrace which has a dining table for six and barbecue facilities under the shade of a pergola. To the front of the terrace is a large private swimming pool (40sqm) with plenty of teak loungers for sunbathing around the pool.
The villa is walking distance to a very pretty, quiet local beach which is usually sandy (approx 5 mins walk). For those wanting more facilities, the long sandy beach at Avithos with its sun loungers, tavernas and cafes is about a 5 min drive away. The villa is also close driving distance (approx 1km) to the traditional village of Kleismata which has various tavernas and a small supermarket. The main town of the island, Argostoli, is about 10 mins by car - it has a great variety of traditional tavernas, some quite sophisticated restaurants, bars, cafes around the marina, a wonderful daily fruit and vegetable market, plenty of shops and fresh fish sold off the caique boats in the quay.
Perfect for families with children since the property has a large garden with lawns.

We had a wonderful week at Dias Retreat. The villa was superb and very clean. The website description of having a beach and taverna within walking distance is very misleading and I would highly recommend that you revise the information provided and also say that a car is essential for this property.
We will certainly look at Pretty Greek Villas when we return to the Greek Islands for another holiday.

We loved our trip to Cephalonia. Villa Dias Retreat was lovely and the outside space was great. The housekeeper was there on arrival and kept coming into change the linen, that was great.

Thank you for your e-mail and we had a lovely time, although my luggage is still lost which is very annoying. The Villa was lovely - and we really enjoyed it. I would also be interested to book the Fishing Cottage next year.

Just a note to say that we made it (!) and the villa is beautiful. The area is so pretty and peaceful so we are pleased despite the dodgy weather!
All the best
Thanks Vickie...it really was a special place to stay - thank you!

Dear MarieLouise and Anna,
Just a short note to say thank you very much to you both, and Katerina, for all of your assistance in making our stay at Dias Retreat possible.
We have had the most wonderful time in the beautiful villa and surrounds. We are all hoping to return in 2014, if possible.
Thank you also for the lovely wine and other items when we arrived, it was very much appreciated. We have also left a small token gift of thanks for Katerina.

Also, we found the taverna above Avithos Beach (Avithos Preview) was lovely we went almost every day!
Have a great rest of the summer too.
I hope you are well.
