Imagine lying back in your private swimming pool, elevated just above a beautiful beach of white sand with the turquoise waves lulling your senses. It is for this reason that the ethereal ocean nymph, Ianthe, has lent her name to such a wonderful setting.

Villa Ianthe has been designed in a traditional island style with stone walls and hand-carved wooden doors and windows. Furnishings have been chosen with great taste in keeping with the characteristics of the house. The result is one of stylish comfort and includes all modern facilities such as a/c, DVD and Sat TV.

On the first level, there is a spacious open plan room with living and dining areas and a fully equipped kitchen. The Mezzanine Level which is a common feature of traditional island homes provides a cosy sleeping area with 2 single beds. The second level of the villa has a very pretty double bedroom with traditional style four poster bed. There is a large, separate full bathroom with high quality marble floors and tiles.

The private swimming pool is surrounded by teak decking and there are chairs, tables and loungers from which to enjoy fully the spectacular sunsets found on this side of the island.

Within an easy 10 min walk (or 2 mins by car) is the charming village of Agios Nikitas where cars are prohibited from its narrow, winding streets. This is a very pretty village with a mass of vibrantly coloured flowers and Neo-Classical houses painted in traditional colours of ochre, loulaki blue, terracotta and burnt oxide. Agios Nikitas has a good selection of shops, bars and tavernas and the village is an ideal place to sit and relax and enjoy excellent, local cuisine and some low-key nightlife at the water’s edge. From the beach of Agios Nikitas, there is a regular water taxi that takes guests to the white sand beaches of Kathisma and Pefkulia which have to be amongst Lefkada’s most stunning.
