Sleeping up to 7 guests, this beautifully renovated stone villa is situated in a wonderful position overlooking the Saronic Gulf in Greece. With a private swimming pool, Villa Iremea provides a unique setting for a self catering Greek villa holiday.

Villa Iremia is a beautifully renovated stone house with private pool, which combines traditional features with the luxuries needed for modern living. It sits on the edge of a traditional Peloponnesian village with fantastic and uninterrupted views out over the Aegean.

Villa Iremia is on two levels. The main living room is on the upper level with a wonderful terrace overlooking the pool and sea. The 'Garden Room' downstairs is like a 2nd living room which has triple doors opening onto a very pretty courtyard garden. There is a large, well equipped kitchen with dining area for 8 guests and three elegant bedrooms – one on the upper floor and two on the lower floor. The Blue Bedroom can be either be made up as a double bedroom or twin bedroom, the Cream/Gold Bedroom has one double bed and a built-in traditional single bed, and the Red Bedroom has one double bed. The villa has 2 bathrooms - 1 full with bath and shower; and 1 with shower.

The private, horizon style swimming pool is large (around 50 sqm). It has a separate child's area where small children can paddle and play. The ‘Loggia’ next to the pool is an elegant shaded stone area with lots of cream sofas and cushions and with the unusual feature of an outdoor fireplace. ‘Iremia’ means ‘utter peace’ and to sit here in the evenings looking out at the small islands in the distance with the tinkling of nearby goat-bells is an experience not easily forgotten.

The villa is on the edge of a small, traditional Greek village with a café/taverna on the main square. There is a lovely sandy beach within a protected bay below the villa - about a 5 min drive - and there are also a few tavernas along this beach area.

The property is located in a very interesting and unspoilt part of Greece on the Peloponnese coast just opposite the Saronic islands of Aegina, Angistri, Poros and further round, Hydra and Spetses.

Methana itself is a pretty harbour town with large marina so a favourite anchorage for yachts. It is well known among Greeks for its natural spa which still functions and people come here for the healing properties of the water. Most of the major archaeological sites of Greece including Mycenae, Argos, Corinth and Epidavros are within driving distance. During the summer months, the Athens Festival takes up residence in the Ancient Amphitheatre of Epidavros with well-known international artists taking part in a busy programme of opera, dance, concerts and theatre both ancient and modern.

The villa to Methana takes 20 mins.
Aegina by ferry from the town of Methana takes 1 hour.
Angistri - no direct ferry, go via Aegina.
Poros by ferry 1/2 hour. By car 45 mins.
Hydra - no direct ferry. Hydrofoils from Poros to Hydra take about 1/2 hour or take a taxi boat from Porto Hydra.
