Villa Kastro sleeps 4 and is set in a traditional Greek village near Argostoli, on the island of Kefallonia. This lovely little villa provides great self catering accommodation in Greece.

Villa Kastro is situated in one of the prettiest villages on Kefallonia just below a Venetian fortress. Before you even step through the door, Villa Kastro, with its white washed walls and traditional swirls in mustard above the mint-green shutters, seems to beckon with the generous hand of hospitality. Stepping inside Villa Kastro is like stepping inside Greek island life as it was long before tourism began.

Villa Kastro has a light and airy living room and a well equipped kitchen. In the dining area, the old farmhouse table can seat up to 8. There are two air-conditioned double bedrooms, one of which has doors leading to a terrace shaded by a mature vine. There are antique tiled floors throughout, lovely furnishings and fine linens. The bathroom has been cleverly designed and can be opened out on all four sides including to the garden with a fabulous view! The terraces are very private and are perfect for dining, sunbathing or simply enjoying the beautiful view to the sea. The garden is a cascade of colour giving a joyous, vibrant atmosphere.

The village life of Kastro has hardly changed over the last hundred years. In ancient times, it was the capital of the island. There is a local taverna and an excellent café serving good home-made dishes. The bread man still calls with his freshly-baked bread and locals still sell their own organic produce. Some of the best beaches on Kefallonia are within a 10 min drive and just-caught fish can be bought from the fishing boats lining the quay in nearby Argostoli.

Villa Kastro is for those who want to experience the good, simple hospitality of traditional Greek island life in beautiful surroundings.
