This charming stone house is situated in one of the most picturesque mountain villages on the island of Lefkada and offers a unique setting for four guests with a private swimming pool.

Villa Katouna has been carefully restored by its owners and takes its name from the village in which it is situated. The village is a wonderful place having retained its traditions and architectural heritage and is set above the famous Seven Islands, surrounded by olive groves and forests and with the atmosphere of a bygone era.

Villa Katouna is located on a verdant hillside and is reached by stone steps that wend their way around the pool terrace. The cottage-style garden approach is charming and full of flowers and herbs. The heady scents whet the appetite in preparation for long alfresco meals that punctuate the endless days that can be spent in this absolutely enchanting location. The shaded area under the upper veranda lends itself perfectly to such moments.

The property spans two levels. Arched doors lead to an open plan living area with beautiful old timber beams and comfortable arrangement of furniture centred around an open fireplace. There is a fully equipped, modern kitchen and elegant antique dining table for eight. There is also a very well designed, high quality shower room and WC on this lower level.

Stairs lead to the upper level where double and twin bedrooms are located. The connecting hallway is huge and can be used as a second living room or third bedroom. The veranda can be accessed from this room and benefits from the most fabulous views over the village and valley beyond. The second shower room/WC is also situated on this upper level.

Like the village in which it is situated, Villa Katouna is a rare find and offers something unique to the discerning traveller.
