Enjoy the tranquil privacy of this luxurious house with its picturesque views of the hills of Hydra. Life on Hydra is unhurried and peaceful with the only interruption being the clip-clop of the donkeys as they pass by. The property is positioned at the back of the town in a quiet and serene area. From the villa you can walk effortlessly down the cobbled streets to the harbour, which is 400 metres away, to enjoy the many shops, galleries, restaurants, bars and cafes there.

The house was built in 1883 by a wealthy Captain and totally restored, using traditional materials and techniques in the late 1980’s by the current owner. The sensitive restoration has resulted in a superb property full of charm from the past but with every modern comfort ensuring a luxurious standard of living.

From the street you enter the garden through the main door to the inner hall. On the left you will find a small suite of rooms comprising a small study and the two twin bedrooms and a spacious marble shower room. At the rear of the property is the master bedroom which is built into the rock, with its large double bed and marble en-suite full bathroom. To the front of the inner hall is a wooden staircase which leads to the first floor and the living room. The living room is large with a comfortable seating and dining area in front of the fire, double doors lead to a large terrace where there is access to the kitchen. The views from the terrace are of the town and mountains beyond. The kitchen is off the living room and is well fitted with every modern convenience. The fourth bedroom is entered from the living room and is at the back of the house. It has a large double bed, plenty of wardrobe space and an en-suite marble shower room.

The house is equipped with satellite TV (upon request at an extra charge), a music system and a telephone for incoming and local calls only. Lavish attention has been made to the furnishings. Antique furniture and fine paintings can be found throughout.
