With steps directly into the sea from the veranda, this unique property offers a totally romantic get-away.

Lulled by the glistening waves, the Mariner’s Retreat is in the most magnificent position situated right over the sea. With its large veranda curving around the property with the sea on three sides, it is as if you are aboard a romantic boat far away from land.

The house has been recently refurbished to provide comfortable and spacious accommodation comprising of a main house and a separate guest house.

The main house has one double bedroom with en-suite bathroom, one twin-bedded room with separate bathroom, a cosy living room with open fireplace and a fully equipped kitchen with dining area. Adjoining this is a self-contained guest house with small kitchenette, living area with double sofa bed and a WC/shower room. The property is very well equipped and services include fast internet connection as well as a daily maid service.

Surrounding the property is a large stone-paved veranda with various areas set out with loungers and dining area to take in the views. For a refreshing dip, there is a ladder directly from the veranda into the sea. In the evenings, since the property faces directly West, there are spectacular sunsets to enjoy as the sun sinks behind Dokos Island opposite.

A pretty little white-washed chapel forgotten by time sits beside the house and further along the seashore is a sandy beach with lounge chairs set out shaded by coconut palm umbrellas. Above the beach are 2 tavernas and a mini-market selling basic groceries. The main town of Hydra is 2kms’ walk along the coastal road or 3 mins by water taxi.
