Totally unique property with private pool, stunning views and internet access

This absolutely unique property is perched above Hydra harbour overlooking its attractive port and town. The windmill commands stunning panoramic sea views enjoying spectacular sunsets over Dokos Island.

The windmill has been very comfortably converted and with large, private swimming pool. Inside the windmill, it is deliciously cool with metre-thick stone walls, small windows and flagged stone floors. The cosy living room and kitchen are on the ground floor. On the 1st floor is the first bedroom with bunk beds and ensuite bathroom. On the 2nd level is a wonderful double bedroom also with ensuite bathroom.

The windmill is surrounded by gardens with mature pine trees and shrubs that provide many little areas to curl up with a book in the shade or simply to relax watching the scene unfolding below in the harbour and town. On one side of the property is a large terrace situated in full sun, perfect for sun worshippers, with the private swimming pool close by for a refreshing dip.

This windmill has been very tastefully renovated using a simple, minimalistic, island style. It is well equipped and even offers internet access with an excellent wireless signal.

For Hydra, the windmill is well located being only about a 10 min walk to the heart of the town and harbour as well as to the nearest coves for swimming. Like most properties on Hydra, the way back is fairly steep but nothing too arduous for the ordinary walker. We are delighted to have added this totally charming property to our 2008 collection!
