A beautiful stone villa sleeping 8 in four double / twin bedrooms. The villa has a private pool and is walking distance to the beach providing a wonderful setting for a self catering villa holiday on the Cycladic island of Paros in Greece.

This is a contemporary stone house designed by one of Greeces most renowned architects, Petros Metaxas. From the central area of the house, which provides the communal living areas, there are a series of wings providing private suites, terraces and verandas.

The central area of the house has a large living room with fireplace and kitchen separated by an archway. From the living room, there is a spacious hallway with double sofa bed, a bathroom with a large shower area and a double bedroom with a lovely old iron bed. French Windows lead to the main terrace from both the living room and bedroom.

From the kitchen, a door leads to a courtyard terrace. At the far side of the terrace is the entrance to the next wing of the house which has a hallway, a twin bedroom with French Windows to the terrace, one full bathroom and a further double bedroom which also has a double sofa bed.

This wing leads to a further terrace and a completely separate wing of the house. Here there is a large bedroom with two double beds and French Windows leading to the terrace as well as a bathroom with a large shower.

Villa Ambalas has a spectacular 360 degree view of the sea. The villa is set in a large private estate with gardens full of flowers, an olive grove, its own private small chapel and with a large private pool. The secluded pebbly beach is a 5 minute walk down an old path with tumbling Byzantine stone walls. There is a sandy beach only 10 mins by foot with taverna and fishing harbour. All amenities can be found in the local traditional village of Naoussa famous for its lively Greek dancing. This is a 7 minute drive by car.

The house has central heating throughout so is perfect for all year round holidays. The cosy interiors have been lovingly designed by the owner and most of the wooden furniture has been handmade by a local Paros carpenter. Villa Ambalas offers tremendous value for money and is perfect for large family holidays. Car hire is necessary.

Hi Vickie,
Thanks for your email.
Our stay at Ambalas was wonderful and we are very happy with the service of Pretty Greek Villas which we find very professional, thank you so much.
For the refundable security deposit, I will check with Marie-Louise if it can be used for 2 extra nights that we stayed in the villa and will get back asap.
Have a nice evening,
Adriani

Hi there, as requested here is some feedback about our stay in Paros.

Basically - it was amazing. The villa was absolutely incredible, by far the best place we've stayed in Greece. Just an incredible location, views on all sides. The villa itself was very comfortable, like staying in a friend's house rather than in rental accommodation. The garden and grounds around the villa were wonderful too. The house manager and the cleaners were all very helpful and considerate. Can't really fault it in any way. Couple of minor suggestions : the beds were rock hard, some new matresses would be good (we ended up putting two pool loungers under the sheet for some added softness). We missed not having a TV (or did we?). But we could have watched a couple of DVDs in the evenings if there had been one. If there was some sort of windbreak (maybe some small trees?) alongside the pool that would be good too, as it does get windy and also it isn't that private. It was a pleasure to meet Rosemary, the owner of the villa; I hope to meet her again one day if we get the chance to stay there again! Finally, thanks to all of you at Pretty Greek Villas for making the booking and all the arrangements so easy.

All the best, Mike Servent.
