This villa is situated on a hillside with spectacular views over hundreds of acres of olive groves and right out over the bay. With only a private chapel as its neighbour, this villa is in the most beautiful, tranquil surroundings and benefitting from a refreshing cooling sea breeze.

The villa has an open plan living room with dining area for 4 and well-equipped kitchen which includes a dishwasher, full oven and microwave. The living room is very comfortable and spacious since its recent extension, and now has SAT TV, music system, DVD, mobile WIFI (pre-paid card for one week is provided) and ceiling fan. On this level, there is also a bathroom with shower. Doors lead out onto a new and very spacious covered terrace with outdoor dining area and barbecue overlooking the sea of olives below and the bay beyond.

Upstairs, there is one double bedroom with a large balcony and one bedroom with two single beds and its own private balcony. In between these bedrooms is a bathroom with bath and shower. Both bedrooms have air-conditioning.

Furnishings throughout are light and airy in keeping with the island style.

Outside, the grounds are spacious and are on various terraced levels. There is a large private pool with various loungers set out for sunbathing around the pool terrace. There are also plenty of other terraces, patios and areas of the garden for relaxing in sun or shade whilst taking in the fabulous views, as well as a second barbecue area with traditional style Cretan barbecue.

The nearest village for provisions and tavernas would be about a 10 min drive away. This part of Crete has a spectacular coastline with miles and miles of unspoilt sandy beaches - the nearest of which is at the foot of the hill about 10 mins drive away. The picturesque town of Chania with its ancient, Byzantine, Venetian and Ottoman influences is about a 25 min drive away. This is an area of Crete steeped in history with many important archaelogical and historical sites to discover. The surrounding villages and mountains are spectacular and are a paradise for walkers and those interested in exploring a part of Greece that is off the beaten track.

This villa would be ideal for a couple looking for utter tranquility and privacy, or a small family who would enjoy the space of the garden with a large private pool.
