Contemporary style property with infinity pool, panoramic sea views and within close proximity to beach

Clean, modern design harmonising with the natural beauty of its surroundings, with comfortable and luxurious furnishings and beautiful outdoor spaces.

Villa Artemis is a fabulous, contemporary style property which successfully combines elements of traditional Greek building techniques with an ultra-modern design. Here you find modern glass with lean, linear structures harmonising with softly-sculpted cement walls and finely crafted stone-work.

Artemis is located in an outstanding position with panoramic sea views over miles of coastline from the Bay of Salandi to Kilada and the private island of Livanou.

The property is on three levels. On the ground floor is a long open-plan room with fully-equipped kitchen, dining area and comfortable living area. Huge glass doors run the length of the space encompassing the fabulous views. On this level there is also a guest WC.

On the upper level are two bedrooms. The master bedroom has a super king-size bed (1m80 x 2m) and ensuite bathroom with shower. The 2nd bedroom is a double/twin bedroom (also super king-size if double) with its own ensuite bathroom with shower. Both rooms have floor to ceiling glass doors and from the bed guests can look right out over Salandi Bay. At night this is a lovely place to sit out on the veranda and watch the stars at night and with hardly any light pollution, the night skies over Salandi Bay are magical.

On the lowest level of the villa is a large bedroom with double bed and single bed. There is also a separate lounge/playroom on this level with TV, DVD and divan beds for 2 extra guests. In between these rooms is a bathroom with shower. These rooms have doors that lead out to a lovely patio and garden with a table and chairs. The furnishings and decor throughout are very stylish with unique artistic pieces that add colour and character to this contemporary home. The bathrooms have been designed with softly-sculpted ecological cement known as ‘tsimentogonia’ a technique found in many islands of Greece.

Artemis is very well equipped with air-conditioning that can be controlled from every room; there are ceiling fans, a TV in each bedroom, TV and DVD in the playroom, dishwasher and washing machine as well as WIFI.

So much of Greek summer life takes place outdoors and at Artemis, the outside areas have been beautifully designed. A lovely outdoor dining area with barbecue featuring a beautifully made stone wall rather like a sculpture is situated to one side of the villa overlooking the lawns which are interspersed with old olive and carob trees. The infinity swimming pool (9m20 x 4m40) features a waterfall at one end, and around the pool area are stylish sun loungers and a large umbrella. In the garden are various places to sit and relax under the shade of a carob tree or have a gentle snooze in the hammock.

From the villa, a track leads down approx. 600m to a secluded cove with beach and crystal clear water. There is an excellent taverna on Salandi Bay about a 15 min walk away which is open daily during the main part of the season and at weekends at other times. The traditional village of Didima with shops and tavernas set in the hills above Salandi is about 10 mins drive away, and the pretty fishing village of Kilada is about 15 mins drive away.

The cosmopolitan marina town of Porto Heli is about 25kms distance where there is a larger variety of shops, supermarkets, tavernas and cafes. Porto Heli is also well-known for its watersports facilities which include water skiing, windsurfing and dinghy sailing. There are also boats for hire. For guests who enjoy historical and cultural excursions, the important archaeological sites of Epidavros, Mycenae and Ancient Corinth are all with easy driving distance as is the Venetian town of Nafplion. From Kosta harbour or Porto Heli, the island of Spetses with its upmarket restaurants, cafes and shops is just 10 mins across the bay by water taxi or Flying Dolphin.

For guests who want to enjoy the serenity of a relatively undiscovered bay but with the comforts of a stylish and luxurious villa with some good day trips out, Artemis is the perfect choice.

Very stylish contemporary villa combining elements of traditional Greece with an ultra-modern design, this villa has a fabulous infinity swimming pool, seemingly endless views over miles of coastline, and a secluded beach and excellent taverna are within walking distance.

Prices below based on 6 guests. Two additional guests can be accommodated at Euro 30/night per guest. Villa Artemis can be rented in conjunction with neighbouring Villa Apollon.

We had a lovely week at Villa Artemis. The view was stunning and was amazing to look at at any time of day - we will miss it! We were very impressed with the villa too.  It has all been very carefully planned and well presented plus the facilities are great. It was lovely to have some groceries provided on our arrival and very much appreciated.  It made our first couple of days staying at the villa much easier.  We enjoyed all the aspects of outdoor living - having the outside table and chairs etc. as we spent most of our time out there.  The pool was amazing too. We all loved it being an infinity pool and our three children had a great time in it.  We will always remember it as our youngest son learnt to swim in the pool while we were there!  The only thing we would mention is that it might be worth letting people know roughly how long it takes from the meeting point with the owner to get to the villa and also that the road is very steep and rough - we found it a bit tricky on the first try!  But that was a very minor complaint. The owner, Sophia, even though she didn't speak much English, was extremely helpful and got any problems solved quickly.
Overall we were very pleased with the villa and would highly recommend it. I've already had a look at your website at possible villas for us to try in the future!
Thank you

The restaraunt sounds great, though kids don't like fish and I not sure we will have time.
All the best
I appreciate your concern. In fact by the time we got off the boat which arrived a bit late anyway, the very nice taxi driver was there waiting for us. So the transfer was as smooth as can be, albeit rather long, but comfortable and with what felt like a safe driver.
The house is lovely, the owner and her niece very nice and the views amazing. They've provided a few very thoughtful and helpful items. There are a few small touches which need sorting but I'm sure that will happen.
Also, a lovely lady from the car hire company came this morning, so we have the hire car and have discussed the transfer etc
So all in all, pretty seamless and now just relaxing by the pool. A few clouds in the sky are most welcome !
Many thanks for all your help
With best wishes

Thanks for your email. Yes, we had a fantastic time in villa Artemis! The house is beautiful and very comfortable, the mosquito nets were very much appreciated, our host Sophia offered us delicious self-made olive oil. The location, the view, the quietness were unique, we hope to be able to come back!
Just a question, if we were to book this property again next year at the same period, what would be the price?
Best regards,Katia

Apologies for the slow turn around I am only now in front of the computer after the holiday :)
Ill check with Mike in terms of the deposit, I am not sure whether he paid it or not and will revert - it may have been included in the last payment?
We absolutely loved the villa.
It is very remote which we loved.
We will certainly stay in touch as would consider returning to Greece.
All the best
