Resting above the cliffs with awesome view across the bay, this charming and elegant seaside house, owned by one of the island’s prominent ship owners, is located in the heart of the picturesque, centuries-old seaside town of Andros (Chora). The property is located in an enviable position just above the sea which is easily accessed by a flight of stone steps, and only 5 minutes walk from the hustle and bustle of the town with all it’s colourful bars, restaurants, shops and cafes.
The property accommodates 8 guests in 4 bedrooms all with en-suite facilities and has been beautifully designed with beamed wood ceilings, nautical elements and luxurious finishing touches.
The ground floor has a spacious feeling with a large entrance hall leading on to an open-plan living room/dining room area with dining table over looking the sea and bay below. An elegant office is located on the side of the living room - a relaxing space for guests needing to catch up with the office on holiday. The verandah accessed from the living room is a perfect spot to enjoy al fresco dining or simply to take in the views and sound of the sea purling on the rocks below.
The bedrooms are on two floors. Each floor has a master bedroom and a second twin bedroom perfect for two families sharing, four couples or a group of friends searching for a high level of comfortable and ease. Each of the master bedrooms are sea-fronted, and both have a small terrace positioned over the sea. The twin bedrooms are located on the rear of the house and look onto the garden and little chapel.
The kitchen is very well equipped although we hope that guests won’t have to venture there too often since the cook, who comes with the house, prepares breakfast and one main meal per day (ingredients extra).
Transportation of luggage is also included in the price from the outskirts of Andros town to the property on arrival and departure.
For guests with a babysitter or member of staff, there is an additional maid's room with bathroom available.
Camara Blue is a super find. It’s hard to find such a noble house above the sea and walking distance to 'Chora' the elegant capital of the island. Its Neo-Classical mansions and marble streets has an array of cafes, excellent restaurants and boutique shops. It also houses one of the most important modern art galleries of Greece. The island has beaches of every kind for guests to enjoy - whether organised or left wild, and some accessible only by boat. It is also an island with a myriad of mule-paths, traditional hillside villages, monasteries and mountains making it one of Greece’s best islands for walking and hiking.
