We very much enjoyed our stay at Captains’ Hideaway.
Such a beautiful villa, with a magical location.
Marie-Louise was super efficient and helpful, great communication, both before and during our holiday; sorting transfers, a bit of shopping and making sure that our trip ran smoothly. (Even resolving a transfer problem with a taxi strike in Athens.) Please thank her from us.
The villa is quite remote, which obviously is part of its charm, so if we stayed again we would do some proper shopping before getting the water taxi to the villa.
We have travelled with PGV before and once again were impressed by the service we received and the very pretty Greek villa!

I wanted to share my feedback regarding our stay at both Mariners retreat and Captains Hideaway.First of all, both houses were perfect, the locations were amazing and we brought back some unforgettable family memories.

We had a great time at both places, and although both were very different, we were extremely satisfied with both.

Captain's hideaway: what an amazing location !  our definition of paradise. Also the house is very well maintained, we loved every detail, from the stone floor to the perfect paint of the furniture and the walls, through the doorknobs and hangers etc. everythging was decorated with taste which we really appreciated.

However there are really a lot of boats on the bay - we gave that feedback to Panos when we left. 

Overall we had an amazing time for the 2 weeks we spent in your houses. Thank you very much Marie-Louise for the help, making sure we had a smooth arrival, transfer, departure, and all the booking of boats, quad bikes, etc. Clearly not a service that you get with AirBnB or homelidays.

Having Panagiotis explain everything on arrival in Spetses was really helpful - Panos was really lovely and welcoming and made us feel very comfortable, offered to come during our stay if we needed.

All in all, we would certainly go back to these houses, or go through the agency again: there are still many other Greek islands we haven't seen and want to discover.

If you have any similar recommendation on other islands, such as a remote simple house on the beach, we would be very keen to try.

And I would definitely recommend the agency for all the service and the great choice of houses.

Thanks for everything, the holiday was great. Lovely house in a perfect location! Panogiotis was really helpful and made everything  run smoothly. Your help in getting our travel arrangements sorted ( while the roads and harbour were shutting for the Triathlon) we’re brilliant. Thanks again for a relaxing and drama free break!

We had a glorious week at the Captain's Hideaway in Spetses situated just a minute's walk from its own private beach. So peaceful and quiet with great character. Marie-Louise was super helpful at all stages - setting up a water taxi - answering our questions - and being in touch whenever we needed. We will be definitely be using Pretty Greek Villas again. We had a fantastic time.

Really well looked after by Marie. Beautiful location. I loved how simple the house was but I think guests need a little sign in the shower room to leave the window open for ventilation when showering with hot water - I think this is important. I also think it is truly time to spend a few pounds on the kitchen - a new oven must be over due….? Panos was fabulous and we did have a truly brilliant week. We will definitely book again.

Thank you so much for your email and for all your help in the run up to our trip to Captains Hideaway. Panagiotis was so helpful and kind and we really thought he was brilliant.  The cottage was very beautiful and looked like it had come straight out of "World of Interiors" Magazine.  We loved going on the kayaks and the perfect little beach. The only thing which would stop me going there again was the noise from the many superyachts which used the rocks on our little beach to tie up their stern lines.  They were very noisy and also meant that it didn't feel so private.  There was an amazing wedding on Zogaria beach on Saturday which was organised by an international events organiser called Faye Vasilidis. They got married in the tiny church next to the house. The event organisers had set up an enormous dining area and huge dance floor and bar etc all on the beach and the music was thumping until 8am!! Also we were not confident with the Quads and the man wouldn't let us rent them so we were left as  hostages to the water taxi to get us back and forth, so I think I would rent something near a lovely beach but not quite as off the beaten track in future.  For people who felt confident on Quads and motorbikes - it wouldn't be an issue. We went to a lovely hotel in Hydra for one night which was an enormous treat and loved it.  On Hydra we ate at Techne and it was fantastic. We would definitely rent a villa with you again Maria and I can't thank you enough for all your kind help and organisation.

We really enjoyed our time in Greece and at Captain’s Hideaway. The service that the PGV team provided was excellent and we appreciated all the help and advice. The car hire solution from Athens and the transfer back to the airport were exemplary. Captain's Hideaway was beautiful and furnished impeccably. We couldn’t has asked for more from the accommodation. Panos was great and obviously very passionate about looking after the property. A few things may have been lost in translation but hopefully this didn’t matter. The quad bikes were fun and to a certain extent essential when staying at CH. The Hideaway is the only property situated on this peninsula and is surrounded by natural pine forest that stretches right down to the seashore. Throughout the garden and woodland, there are many peaceful places to sit, relax and contemplate the views surrounded by pristine nature. Hours can be spent watching the dolphins swim and play in the bay below. Whenever you feel like a cool dip in the sea, the sparkling cove with its crystalline waters is only steps away. It is as good as private to this property since the only access to the beach is via the property's own grounds. The villa also has two sea kayaks for guests' use.

We really had a wonderful time at Spetses and in the Captain’s Hideaway. The simple life, beautiful nature and authentic little house, made the holiday an unique experience. We regret we couldn’t say thank you enough to the wonderful man who assist us with everything, because the watertaxi man was in a rush to leave. We loved both our weeks! PGV support superb throughout, very start of booking to final moments - thank you. Local support fab esp Panos at Captains Hideaway - and we loved the quad bike man! Love the welcome hamper.  Captains Hideaway: Absolutely magical - best ever villa. Setting, interior, privacy, uniqueness. The beach. The openness of Dimitri sharing boathouse etc. The quad bikes  - amazing! A magical holiday once again. Thanks Marie Louise and Vickie for all your patient advice! I recommend you to everyone and will certainly be using you again.

We had a memorable holiday. It s a lovely house. The arrangements with Marie-Louise regarding detail of our stay and water taxi pick ups all went like clockwork. I was impressed by the general level of information and support you provided. Panos was a wonderful and very obliging manager of the house and it was nice to meet the owner Dimitris. We really appreciated that the kitchen was so well equipped, as we like to cook, and that Panos had done a food shop for us when we arrived. Please convey our thanks to Marie-Louise, to Panos and to Dimitris. Hoping we can come again some time, and I will be recommending it to friends and family.

We had a lovely time – the villa was beautifully private, freshly painted, pretty and shaded in the pines, the beach and boathouse also lovely. We were on the beach and swimming every day. It was perfect for us – we wanted quiet and to do our own thing. Million thanks, and will be v tempted to come back!

We had an amazing time staying at the Captains Hideaway, it was such a beautiful setting. Thank you for arranging the quad bike hire - we spent an afternoon looking around the island and used it to go into the town each evening to eat.
