Dhokos View has been beautifully refurbished to provide a harmonious blend between traditional and modern styling.
Situated in a convenient spot, very slightly elevated and quiet, a short walk to both the Old Harbour and the main town of Dapia, Dhokos View provides a great setting for a family or group of friends twanting to holiday on the sought after island of Spetses.
The house is located on three levels. An elevator connects all levels making it a convenient choice for anyone with walking restrictions or difficulties. The property is surrounded by a walled garden, with olive trees and indigenous shrubs bursting with colours and scents. A large swimming pool, which can be heated is located conveniently. It has steps with an inox hand-rail should it be needed. The pool is beautifully tiled with mosaics, and elegantly finished in marble.
The lower, basement level is closed to guests for all purposes other than easy access for those who require it. The house when rented is rented as a completely private property.
The main door to the house accesses the ground floor where three bedrooms are located. Each bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom facility in beautifully contemporary style. Chrome highlights the darker shades and dove grey woodwork bring the whole feeling to life which ties in with the rest of the house.
Two of the bedrooms are double/master bedrooms and the third has two single beds.
A flight of stairs connects this floor with the upper level which hosts a large living area with beautiful contemporary sofa harmoniously connecting with individual pieces of a more traditional if not antique style. Two large doors access a large verandah, dining table both inside the living room and on the verandah plus a very well stocked kitchen full of all modern conveniences and appliances. Modern artwork adds vibrancy with explosions of colours giving the entire property a sense of chic without loosing the traditional features of this Neo-Classical Venetian home.
A WC and shower are conveniently located on this level with a mezzanine which is cleverly accessed by ladder above. This is a perfect space for kids to sleep, like a little nest beneath the vaulted roof. A pull-out bed provides a very comfortable sleeping arrangement for adults and children alike.
From the verandah a flight of stairs leads to an upper terrace which has the most amazing views over the Saronic Gulf and Peloponnese. It’s a perfect spot to get ‘lost in the vista’ or enjoy a sun-downer with the famous view of the islands of Dhokos and Hydra in the distance.
