Villa Eros is a beautiful ecologically designed villa that is located in a magnificent position on a hillside overlooking the sea surrounded by olive and pine trees. Wood, stone, subtle colours, the harnessing of the gentle sea breeze and soft lighting gives an almost dream-like feel to the villa and its surroundings.
The villas has been designed over two levels with a loft-style architecture that allows the sea breeze assisted by ceiling fans to flow naturally through the entire building so that air-conditioning is not needed.
On the ground floor there is an open plan space with a living area by the fireplace, a dining table for four and a fully equipped kitchen. There is also a bathroom with shower on this floor featuring a white marble sink and vintage mosaic tiles.
On the first floor are two bedrooms – one with a king size bed and one with twin beds - and a bathroom with glass ceiling and shower. Both bedrooms have ceiling fans and each has a private balcony with sea view. The walls separating the bedrooms are 2.2 m high with a gap at the top so as to allow natural airflow through the rooms.
The villa has cable TV, DVD, radio/CD and Bluetooth speaker, WiFi internet access and a library with books, table games, music CDs and movies. There is a daily cleaning service, change of bed linen and towels every second day, complimentary groceries on arrival and fresh bread delivered daily.
The exterior space is surrounded by olive trees, cypress and Mediterranean bushes and aromatic herbs - rosemary, lavender, oregano and thyme bloom under the sun next to pomegranate, lemon and almond trees. There is a large L-shaped swimming pool and outdoor shower as well as a large private stone-flagged garden with a dining table for four and a wooden deck area with comfortable sunbeds. There is also a Weber bbq with tools & briquettes.
Suspended over the sea under the shade of the olive trees is a ‘relaxation’ deck, shared with guests of villa Psyche, where guests can enjoy the sunset or have a refreshing workout. There you can find two sunbeds overlooking the sea, 1 spinning bike, 2 stretch cords, 2 yoga mats, 1 pilates soft balls, 1 jumping rope and freshly washed towels. There is also a secure shaded parking space.
The villa is located very close to the charming village of Agios Nikitas where cars are prohibited from its narrow winding streets. It is only about 700m away and easy to go downhill to the village but steep on the way back up so we would recommend car hire. This is a very pretty village with a mass of vibrantly coloured flowers and Neo-Classical houses painted in traditional colours of ochre, loulaki blue, terracotta and burnt oxide. Agios Nikitas has a good selection of shops, bars and tavernas and the village is an ideal place to sit and relax and enjoy excellent, local cuisine and some low-key nightlife at the water's edge. From the beach of Agios Nikitas, there is a regular water taxi that takes guests to the white sand beaches of Kathisma and Pefkulia which have to be amongst Lefkada's most stunning. The main town of Lefkada is approx 20 mins drive from the villa.
Villa Eros is ideal for one couple or a family of four looking for a peaceful summer haven surrounded by nature. There is a 15% discount for one couple occupying the villa for the periods :

We had a great time. It’s a lovely villa and Egla and her husband are exceptional in their hospitality and care going well beyond anything expected in small, barely noticeable ways.
You have already written cautions to the only things I would highlight about the villa for benefit of others.
The hill is steep, which you mention, and nearly 1 in 2 in places. I’m very glad we did have the car for the whole 2 weeks, which of course, you recommend. But even then, the drive up the hill is more adventurous than anything we have in London, especially when there’s a driver coming the other way.
The only other mention, again, I don’t know if you can say more than you do on this, the 2.2 m walls upstairs do make the rooms very airy...What isn’t so obvious from your write up is that the implication of this is that there is no privacy in terms of sound. It’s probably more of an issue for mixed groups than for us.
Hopefully those things don’t come over too strong. They didn’t interfere with the enjoyment of the holiday. Everything we could have wanted was there and available, and exceeded expectations, and we were well looked after.

Just wanted to say thank you so much for suggesting villa Eros at
White Stone Villas, we loved it. It was a great week in spite of the not brilliant to start with weather. It was just right for the two of is , we didn't do an awful lot and just relaxed...we would love to go there again, maybe a little later in June next year..
It worked very well for what we wanted which was really just to crash
out. I had a big operation in December and was recovering from that and Simon had been working flat out and was exhausted so we were just very idle . Had a lovely first week in Zagori which to our relief hadn't changed much at all since we were there last 18 years ago.. Agios Nikitas was a bit more built up and busy since our last visit but still lovely and as you said still fairly quiet that time of year..

We loved our week at Eros..it was a lovely villa, beautifully done in
a heavenly position and it was very relaxing and just what we needed.. Sadly the weather wasn't very good but the last three days were sunny and warm thank goodness. We have stayed near Agios Nikitas many times before years ago with the children when they were young , and were worried that it may have changed drastically since we were last there but it hadn't really , and being early June it wasn't too busy , and the villa is right up away from the village anyway with a lovely view and garden, and was very quiet and peaceful.. Lovely to be able to watch the sunset from there .. The owner Spiros was delightful and so was Naya who I didn't meet bit spoke to on the telephone and subsequently we communicated by what's app.. They have made it very special by all sorts of little details, flowers everywhere and clean towels and nice shower gel and shampoo etc and a good collection of cd's and books, and Egla who came every day was lovely and so friendly and helpful and brought fresh bread and would have brought anything else as well if we had asked her.. We would definitely like to go there again, it was perfect for a completely relaxing break which is what we both needed.. Anyway please thank Marie Louise so much for suggesting it, it was a great success..
