We had again an absolutely wonderful stay at the villa on the rocks in Hydra, and we really very much enjoyed the extraordinary setting of the villa right on the sea. We are actually thinking already of re-booking for next year....

We loved Mariner’s Retreat! One of the best places we’ve stayed with such spectacular sea views, a lovely cooling breeze and a choice (depending on the waves!) of rock, beach or harbour swimming within a stone’s throw.

Marie-Louise was helpful when we couldn’t find a food shop within 15 minutes walk in Kamini, as mentioned in the description, (the nearest is almost double that distance) but it wasn’t a major inconvenience. Certainly handy to be able to buy extra water and crisps from the kiosk across the road.

Thanks to Vasillis and Manos who were welcoming, helpful and reliable with their land and sea taxi services.

The Marina Taverna was lovely at sunset and the staff warm. Nice to have Vlychos beach taverna nearby, too, and the great Four Seasons 10 mins walk away. Good to be able to walk into wonderful Hydra port and get a sea taxi back.

In the meantime, we have safely arrived at Mariner's Retreat. Everything worked seamlessly and very well, and we really enjoy the villa and the beautiful views! We consider ourselves very lucky to be able to spend our summer vacation here - thank you very much to you and your team, as well as the owners, for making this beautiful place available!  Thank you also very much for the nice and hospitable touches, in particular the stocked fridge upon our arrival, which was very much appreciated

It was our second visit to Mariners Retreat, and therefore we already knew about it and the location is absolutely beautiful and second to none, and excellent local restaurants are easy to access.  Swimming and snorkelling in the sea directly from the villa was a highlight for us yet again.  It is a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the views.

We really had an exceptional time at Mariner’s Retreat, what a very special place.  The outside terraces and the view were really beautiful, the place was clean and very relaxed and easy to use. Your communication has been brilliant, it was an added bonus to realise there are two lovely tavernas and a pretty beach just 5 seconds away and getting to Hydra by boat or walking was so easy too.

With regards our experience with PGV then apart from the small hiccup with one of the payments that I made, everything else was fine. All the information, booking/pre-travel,  that was provided was clear, concise and useful. As for our stay in Hydra at Mariner’s Retreat, we had a wonderful time. The location of the villa was as we had expected, with fantastics views out over the sea.

We had a super time on Hydra.  Mariners Retreat is an extraordinarily positioned property. To be honest the terraces alone are worth the money. Seriously, just never seen anything like it. Just wandered from one to the other, gawping. And the star gazing was gobsmacking.  Plus having not one but 2 decent restaurants within walking distance, as well as a little snack bar that sells bottles of water, ice and ice cream, metres away, made it absolutely fabulous for us. Oh and a lovely beach too! Communication with you was amazing. We had a very relaxing, wonderful time. We loved the beach and the house and would recommend it and Pretty Greek Villas in a heartbeat.  As always, you have such interesting and beautiful houses in your portfolio and we look forward to staying in one of them again.

We had the most wonderful holiday on Hydra and absolutely loved the villa - we will most definitely be booking it again! We very much like both villas this year. The Mariner s Retreat was quite magical. We 'd definitely return. Just lovely. The Old Mill was equally magical in a grander and greener way. The gardens are quite lovely with the old Carob tree being the perfect place to escape to in the shade. The off the rocks swimming just below was also wild & wonderful.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Mariner’s Retreat. We loved the location, and really enjoyed a walk into the port most mornings for breakfast. We found both tavernas at Vlychos excellent. The villa has the most wonderful outside space, and we spent most of our time sitting in the covered areas enjoying the magnificent views and watching the boats coming and going.

Have settled down here a little and the place is very charming, it is actually well thought out with most things you would need, which I have found very helpful. Hydra port is beautiful, and have explored all the alleyways and museums. Stomatis has taken me in to Hydra daily and in all the extremes of weather !!

I have just realised that we didnít write anything in the visitors book at the villa! I would have written that for us the villa was perfect. The location could not have been better and the weather was fantastic and for us it was an extremely relaxing holiday which is just what we needed and in fact I could have stayed longer.

Many thanks and we had a lovely time. Both houses were great, not posh but traditional and beautifully located right on the sea. Just what we wanted!! I cant think of anything that didn't work well. perhaps we were lucky but everything went like clockwork - houses, boats, cars. We love Hydra and will definitely be back again soon.

A belated but huge thank you for all that you and Kelly did to make our holiday such a perfect one. Special thanks for organising our final day in Athens, Vasillis was wonderful and we had a great few hours at the Acropolis. As I sit here in a wet cold UK it all seems a million miles away! Must start planning for next year. Do you have any other similar waterfront properties on your books? To be able to dip into the sea from both Sound of the Sea and Mariner's Retreat was just fabulous.

We had the BEST time! We cannot thank you and Marie-Louise enough for everything you did to make our honeymoon so special. We'd also like to pass on that the car hire company you recommended was wonderful, particularly Kimone. He even took the time to teach Adam how to drive a manual transmission!
