Resplendent Villa Maristella – the star of the sea – with its elegant and spacious rooms, graceful decoration, colourful gardens and magnificent sunset views is a rare treasure. Guests can immediately relax and enjoy this well-designed home that is both comfortable and luxurious.
The upper level has a very spacious living room with wooden vaulted ceilings and magnificent views over the bay. There is a lovely dining area for up to 10 guests as well as a sophisticated country-style kitchen which is perfect for passionate cooks in the party! From this large open-plan space, guests can access the large outdoor terraces, extensive gardens and large pool.
There are two bedrooms on the upper level – one double bedroom and one twin bedroom which share a bathroom with shower. Both bedrooms have balconies overlooking the beautiful sea view.
The other 3 bedrooms are on the ground floor: A spacious master bedroom with ensuite bathroom and shower; a twin bedroom and a double bedroom. These two bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and all three bedrooms have doors leading to a verandah or terrace. On this level there is also a playroom and a 2nd kitchen which have direct access to the garden and pool as well as garage.
The villa owner is an art expert and this is very much in evidence throughout the house with beautifully chosen objects and paintings, and very comfortable furnishings all of an exceptionally high standard.
The same artistic eye for detail continues to the outside space. Surrounding the villa are large terraces shaded by deep pergolas. Guests can choose from two lovely outdoor dining areas. There is also a well-designed outdoor kitchen as well as two charcoal barbecues that are also fuelled with LPG. Above the pool, is a wonderfully comfortable outdoor lounge area and from all terraces, guests can enjoy superb views right out over the sea. The property has beautifully landscaped gardens with a joyful profusion of colours and scents with a riot of hibiscus, lemon and orange trees as well as many other shrubs and flowers as well as a large lawn and children’s playground.
The fresh-water swimming pool (60sqm) and its sunset terrace has panoramic sea views over the bay. There are 8 sunbeds, 3 umbrellas, a large pool-side table and chairs as well as outside shower, and plenty of shade from the surrounding pergolas.
In the months of July, August and 1st - 15th September a daily housekeeper is included in the price. She prepares breakfast and one main meal each day (ingredients extra), cleans and tidies. In the other months of the season, twice weekly cleaning is included in the price of the villa. There are also 3 other members of staff taking care of the gardens, pool and outside areas.
From the villa, it is a walk downhill to 3 secluded beaches and guests can choose between sandy or pebbly beaches. The Porto Heli area is known for its beaches with crystal clear water fringed by pine trees. There is also a jetty for the water taxi across to the neighbouring island of Spetses with its array of excellent restaurants, sophisticated cafes and bars, and boutique shops. For water ski enthusiasts, the water ski centre at ‘Limni’ which is considered one of the best in Greece is found just 1.5 kms from the villa. The marina town of Porto Heli is a few minutes by car where guests can find a choice of restaurants, shops and supermarkets as well as motor boats for hire. Guests can also enjoy a private boat trip with skipper from nearby Kosta Harbour.
For culture vultures, there is a great choice of historical and cultural sites within a day’s trip – the Sanctuary of Asklepios and the Ancient Amphitheatre at Epidavros, Myceanae and Agammenon’s Tomb and the beautiful Venetian town of Nafplion being the most famous. Guests can also enjoy theatre, dance or opera under the stars during the summer months at the Amphitheatre when the Greek Festival is in full swing.
With so much nearby to entertain all ages, and with the serenity and luxury afforded by the villa, this is an ideal choice for anyone seeking a unique and special villa for their holidays.

We had a wonderful stay at Maristella; Titika could not have been more welcoming or more helpful and the villa was wonderfully comfortable. We took trips to Spetses and to Hydra, found beaches, swam across the bay and back and lounged by the pool. Glorious.
We are delighted to have added Villa Maristella to the PGV collection for the 2020 season. The first reviews will be published in summer 2020 and in 2021.
