Villa Mistral is located in the Fellos area of Andros, and is situated in private grounds in a commanding position with stunning views over the bay and the Aegean sea beyond. Surrounded by scents from the profusion of aromatic plants that border the stone terraces between the house and the pool, you are constantly reminded of the sheer natural beauty of this part of the island.
The villa is located at the top of the estate and comprises three levels.
The main door enters into a large open plan living room, dinning room and kitchen area. Each of these three living spaces are separated by large stone arches hued from local stone. The living area is comfortable and features a three piece suite in comfortable fabrics surrounding a large coffee table. Large glass doors lead outside to a terrace which hosts a dining table and chaise-longue wicker sofa in front of the stunning sea view.
The indoor wooden dining table seats 8 guests comfortably. It is conveniently positioned close to the kitchen and beside a second set of large glass doors which give access to a second courtyard style terrace featuring another wonderful place for al fresco dining. This time, the space provides a more secluded setting, surrounded by large stone arches and colourful flowers and plants. It is a perfect place to while away the hours, discuss with a friend or read. The kitchen is light and well equipped and features all the modern conveniences expected in a property of this quality.
The use of local materials give an authenticity to the home. Cool terracotta floor tiles blend well will stone archways and Grecian colours of blue and cream bring simplicity to the villa. There is a consistency in the decor which blends well with the natural surroundings and leads to a very comfortable summer living experience.
From the hallway, there is a well equipped bathroom and double bedroom with built-in wardrobes and French style doors leading to the outside terrace. Stairs from the hallway lead to the upper level where there are three bedrooms.
The Master bedroom is spacious and light decorated in blue and cream which complements the wooden ceiling, doors and windows. Metre-thick stone walls and an excellent ceiling fan make air-conditioning unnecessary in this cool and comfortably appointed room. This master bedroom benefits from an en-suite bathroom with shower and WC.
The second and third bedroom each have two single beds and share a separate bathroom. Both have pleasant and simple styling with terracotta tiles underfoot and ceiling fans. The beds can be arranged together but with a slight separation.
The fifth bedroom which is ideal for children is located in the basement level along with a separate bathroom and utility rooms for the staff. The two single beds are arranged as an L-shape.
The villa has twice weekly cleaning and changing of linens/towels.
Villa Mistral features a fabulous, large outside space with horizon pool. A built in seating area is perfect to host at least 10 guests and is comfortable and shaded. Next to this and part of the same structure is an outside kitchen, BBQ and dining area - all perfectly designed for summer living. There are also many sun loungers surrounding the pool.
Mistrali is located close to the white sandy beach in Fellos Bay and a 7 km drive to Gavrio. Gavrio is a busy little port featuring an array of shops, cafes, tavernas and bars. Of course there is the bay below the house which is accessed by steps leading down from the pool terrace.
Villa Mistrali would appeal to two families wanting to holiday together or a large group of friends. It is a great villa, incredibly comfortable with a fabulous outside space and wonderful view one of Greece’s more upmarket and unusual islands.
