Oak Tree House

Blended in harmony with the natural environment, surrounded by colourful flowers, olive and oak trees, Oak Tree House is a beautiful 4 bedroom stone villa of modern design located in a quiet area on the island of Kea.

The villa stands in a terrain of about 5000 m2 filled with oak trees and offers a magnificent 180 degrees view of Cape Sounion, the island of Makronissos and the eastern mainland coast and an idyllic rural landscape in the foreground. The interior décor is modern and simple in design yet very tasteful with splashes of colour here and there giving a joyful feeling to its guests. Particular attention has been given to achieve high sustainability standards. The external walls were cladded with high spec insulation lining achieving year-round comfortable conditions. All bedroom quarters were built with stone while windows were carefully placed diagonally to allow for cool summer breeze to circulate uniformly through the rooms. There is constant supply of hot water provided primarily by solar panels.

The villa is composed of the main house and two smaller guest houses. The main house is on two levels. On the main ground floor there is an open plan space with a living area with a fireplace, dining area and a fully equipped kitchen. It has windows offering a panoramic view and glass doors with access to spacious verandas. It is decorated with modern furniture and equipped with TV, DVD, high speed Wi-Fi internet and a Bose sound system. On this level there is also a bedroom with twin beds and a separate bathroom which has direct access to a private terrace. At one end of the open space is an elevated small office with a desk, drawers and a reading/relaxing sofa that could also be used as a bed.

The adjacent 30m2 stone guesthouse which has a separate entrance can accommodate 5 people. On the ground floor there is a family room with twin beds and a single sofa-bed, a bathroom with shower and a kitchenette with cooking equipment, coffee machine and refrigerator. On the upper level there is a large bedroom, with stunning views to the Aegean Sea with a double bed and an en-suite bathroom.

An guest house with twin beds is situated by the pool which has an en-suite bathroom and an elementary kitchenette (small fridge, coffee maker and breakfast equipment).

Outside there is a large terrace with pergolas and a 3,5x11 meters infinity swimming pool, sun-beds and a built-in sofa for relaxation, an open air barbecue, armchairs and furniture for outside dining for 10 persons.

The Oak Tree House is located 8 km away from the port of Korissia and 2 km from the capital Ioulis. It is situated at the west side of the island, on the road connecting Ioulis with the South of the island near the beautiful beaches of Poisses and Koundouros. A hill with a small whitewashed church is a landmark that adds a scenic touch to the picturesque landscape and the sunsets are breath-taking.
