Exceptional water-front villa featuring 4/5 bedrooms, very spacious outdoor living and dining areas, with infinity pool in a quiet beach setting with boat hire available

This is a contemporary style property with chic and comfortable interiors set out over three levels. The property is decorated throughout using a combination of natural stone and wood giving an elegant and natural feel. It is ideal for summer living with extraordinarily large outdoor entertaining areas. Odysseus is one of four villas but each villa is entirely private and cannot be overlooked with Odysseus being the front villa right on the beach.

On the ground floor level is an open plan space with living area that has in-built sofas and a very smart kitchen which is well equipped. Large teak and glass doors fold right back from the living area to reveal the sensational sea view from the terrace. On this level there is also a guest WC.

Stairs lead up to the first floor where there are two bedrooms: The master bedroom is very large with its own large veranda that has stunning sea views. Thisbedroom has a large bathroom with bath, shower and WC, as well as a separate walk-in closet/dressing room. The 2^nd double bedroom has a spacious en-suite bathroom with WC and shower, and exceptional views from the large picture-windows right out over the bay. From all balconies of the property, the views are magnificent right out over Paleros Bay with the islands of Meganissi, Lefkada, Atokos, Kalamos & Scorpios in the distance.

On the lowest floor are two further guest bedrooms at garden level: Both bedrooms have double beds and en-suite bathrooms with WC and shower. There is an additional smaller bedroom with bunk beds and with its own en-suite bathroom with shower (please note that this bedrooms has an internal window).

The property is very well equipped with WIFI internet, i-pod docking station, TV and DVD as well as air-conditioning throughout. All furnishings are of the highest quality and the style is pleasingly minimal giving a chic and fresh feel throughout.

Villa Odysseus has many features to recommend it, but one of the exceptional features, aside from its location, is the amount of outdoor living and dining space that has been created. From the living room, doors running the length of the space lead out onto a large covered veranda with teak decking. Above the pool is the first of two outdoor dining areas with in-built sofas and many pillows around a large table. The stunning infinity swimming pool has uninterrupted views over the bay and there are plenty of comfortable teak loungers around the pool. On a lower terrace is a small garden with lawns punctuated by an impressive palm tree, and to the left is another huge decked area with very large outdoor dining area and living area that can accommodate 20 guests as well as an additional sun-deck area with loungers set just above the beach. In the evenings, the sunset over the sea is stunning and at night guests can enjoy the tranquillity of the surroundings from the atmospherically lit outdoor entertaining areas.

The sea on this western mainland side of Greece is fantastic. The colour is almost as if bleach has been added to the sea its a wonderful iridiscent blue with foaming white surf. This coastline of Epirus has become one of the most sought after destinations for a holiday in Greece due its miles of sandy beach and crystal clear waters. Boat hire is available and the villa offers an excellent base to be able to explore the neighbouring islands of Lefkada, Meganissi, Kalamos, Arkoudi, Kastos, Astakos and Scorpios. Water skiing can also be arranged and the ski boat picks up guests from just below the villa.

The villa is set within a very quiet area without any beach bars close by to disturb the tranquility. Approx 200 metres uphill from the villa is a traditional village with two excellent tavernas, a bakery and a mini-market. For guests staying at the villa, home-made bread, fresh fruit and vegetables as well as fresh eggs and local cheeses can be delivered from one of the local farms. The town of Paleros is on the far side of the bay about 4kms away where there are plenty of shops, supermarkets and many tavernas.

Also at Paleros are some very chic beach-cafes including the Yacht Bar with comfortable loungers set out on the beach with large umbrellas. Here guests can enjoy a light lunch or evening swim followed by a delicious cocktail whilst the sun sets over the bay. Only 2kms away is a water-park offering lots of fun for the children. This is also a very cultured area with most of Byzantine Greece lying at your doorstep. Within a day trip are the Monasteries of the Air at Meteora, the Byzantine lake town of Kastoria, the lake town of Ioanina with its little island which is steeped in Byzantine and Ottoman history, the mountain town of Meteora known for its excellent cheeses and the entire mountainous region of Epirus which is stunning with its old stone bridges, pristine nature, and medieval villages of Zagoria which are an absolute must-see if visiting this area. In addition, the villa is easily accessible being a short drive from Preveza airport.
