Villa Panagia is a stone Greek villa that sleeps 6 people. This villa provides excellent self catering accommodation in Zakynthos, Greece with a private swimming pool.

Villa Panagia is a gated country house located in the traditional mountainous area of Northern Zakynthos. From its elevated position, Villa Panagia has uninterrupted views of the Ionian Sea and is surrounded by olive groves and natural mountain forests of cypress and pine.

The house has a light and airy open plan living room that has a corner fireplace with comfortable sofas and furnishings, a dining area with farmhouse style table with seating for 8 and a well equipped kitchen area which is prettily decorated with traditional terracotta tiled floors and cream coloured wood. Two sets of double doors lead out onto the substantial stone terrace with its spectacular views and lower terrace with stone BBQ.

Steps lead from the living area down to a traditional style ‘wet-room’ with shower. Below this room is a utility room fully equipped which has a separate access from the outside lower level of the house. From the living area, there is an open-tread wooden staircase leading to the upper level. On the half-landing is the second bathroom. The bedrooms are very pleasingly decorated in a simple country style with wooden floors, hand-crafted furniture and lovely views glimpsed from the pretty windows. There is one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a master bedroom with a large stone terrace overlooking the swimming pool and sea.

Villa Panagia is surrounded by large gardens with many stone terraces for relaxing or dining. Steps lead from the house down to the elegant swimming pool terrace where there is a very large swimming pool with stone gazebo offering a shady area with recliners overlooking the sea. The side terrace has a table tennis table for those who feel more energetic. A stone pathway has been laid through the juniper and thyme-scented hillside below the house to a peaceful spot with stone bench which is perfect for reading or gazing out over the view.

Villa Panagia is ideal for those wanting to relax in peaceful, comfortable surroundings away from tourist areas. The nearest village is about 3 kms distance and is a thriving, traditional and friendly village with family run tavernas offering local organic dishes. The nearest beach is about 4 mins by car and the famous Shipwreck Beach can be visited by boat from the local harbour of Agios Nikolaos.
