Fun and colourful 2 bedroom villa with private pool, close driving distance to Fiskardo

This lovely two bedroom villa with its own private pool is located in a traditional village setting on the north side of Kefalonia close to Fiskardo.
Downstairs is a large open plan space with living area, excellent kitchen and indoor dining area. The cheerful use of colour will get anyone into a good holiday mood from the start! French windows lead out onto the new dining terrace with lovely views over a typical Grecian scene of old stone village houses, olives groves and cypress trees with the blue haze of the sea beyond.
At the far end of the room close to the colourful staircase, there is an archway leading to a corridor. Here is situated the 2nd bedroom with two single beds and a separate bathroom with shower stylishly decorated and tiled. French windows from the bedroom lead out to the terrace with lovely views.
Up the funky staircase is the master bedroom with king size four-poster bed and French windows leading to a contemporary style balcony with pretty views over the countryside. The en-suite bathroom, also with shower, is decorated with similar tiles.
An extra child (5th guest) can be accommodated in the living room downstairs on a single bed that is cunningly concealed in the bookcase built into the stairway - the bottom drawer pulls out and - lo! a comfortable single bed.
The villa has air-conditioning, WIFI, barbecue and safe as well as twice weekly cleaning.
A lovely feature of this house is the modern artwork and murals of fish and sea-scapes painted by the artist owners. Sweet little fish and delicate mermaids are enchanting - our little ‘psarakia’ swimming joyfully through the house!
Outside, human fish can have fun swimming in the pool! It’s surprisingly larger than it looks with an 8m length/30sqm overall. The depth is from 1.40m - 1.80m which is great for any guests who enjoy a deeper end to a pool than is sometimes found. For all members of the family, the jacuzzi at one end is a little touch of soothing luxury!
The main dining terrace is very spacious with outdoor dining area for six shaded by a pergola. There is also a separate coffee area under the shade of the olive trees. Plants and flowers give shade and colour throughout.
The surrounding countryside is glorious! Typical scenes of northern Kefalonia abound and there are both rural as well as sea views. The little village of Tselentata is close to the fishing village of Fiskardo - approx a 7 min drive.
Fiskardo has a harbour lined with excellent tavernas, cafes and stylish bars as well as boutique shops, beauty shop, supermarket, pharmacy, chandleries, delicious ice-cream and cake shops, and there are boats for hire (no licence required). It’s also possible to hire a boat for a day privately with skipper.
This is a quiet village setting and would suit couples or small families looking for a comfortable villa within close proximity to Fiskardo and all it offers. For walkers and nature-lovers, there are plenty of paths and trails to discover through beautiful countryside. Foki beach and it's taverna is a 15-20 minutes walk.

Wow-Wee! What an amazing 10 days we've had at the Villa Psaraki. Everything has been perfect - the weather, the pool, the beaches, the sea, boat trips and even swimming with turtles today! The island that just keeps on going!
The villa was such a treat to come back to after our day away, the tranquillity and warm breeze soothing our minds and souls. Everyday we find something new and eye-catching in the villa. Such a great and easy place to live in. The kids loved it and often fought to sleep in the pull-out bed. They all loved it, so clever!
Strangely, I'd try to wake up early as possible to read my book with a coffee before the rabble awoke and take in the pace and quiet under the old olive tree. Just wonderful!

Thank you so much for your hospitality - the villa has been so much more than we had hoped and we have had a fabulous stay. SO comfortable and you have thought of everything - our children loved the pool and the outside space is relaxing and beautiful.
We have done lots of exploring - snorkelling at Emplesi and Alaties beaches, wandering around the harbour and visiting Asos with a walk to the castle with spectacular views (we stuck to the path!)
Thank you for the delicious tiramisu and preserves, so nice to find such a wonderful welcome hamper on arrival.

We have had an absolutely wonderful stay at Villa Psaraki. Federico and Luisa gave us a very warm welcome and continued to be absolutely delightful and helpful throughout our stay. The villa is beautiful and has everything you could possibly need. All their recommendations were great - Foki beach and taverna, supermarket, Alaties beach and bakery, though Fiskardo town and Kamilia beach was just gorgeous.
Federico and Luisa are wonderful hosts and we'd love to come back one day. Our 3 teenagers really enjoyed talking to them as did we. Thomas is now keen to make a resin table. Anna loves Luisa's cherry jam and Benjamin would happily chat to them all day.

We have just returned from the most wonderful stay at Villa Psaraki. It is a really gorgeous villa in a wonderful quiet location. The views from the various pretty terraces over the sea and out to Ithaca are stunning.
The love and care taken over everything about the Villa was evident from the moment we arrived and met our lovely hosts Federico and Luisa. They have thought of everything to make a stay comfortable and relaxing, and the personality they have brought to the interiors with Federico’s incredible carpentry skills and Luisa’s wonderful artistic touches really elevate the feel of it.
The welcome selection of food and drink was the best we’ve had and so appreciated as it had everything we needed for a lovely meal when we arrived late in the evening. We particularly enjoyed the wine (the best we had on our stay), feta, olives, huge tub of Greek yoghurt and, most of all, Luisa’s absolutely delicious home-made marmalade (I wish I could buy this back at home!).
The area is full of gorgeous beaches to visit and fantastic places to eat close by (Federico and Luisa’s recommendations were all excellent) but we always loved returning to the beautiful welcoming surrounds of the villa and it’s lovely cool interiors.
A huge thank you. We hope to return some time!
