Set above the fishing village of Sivota, with its tavernas and busy little harbour lined with yachts, Villa Rhapsody feels like a Mediterranean oasis. The property is surrounded by nature with large cypress trees and mature olives. Heady scents waft over the pool terrace and a colourful array of bougainvillea and Mediterranean flowers complete the harmonious setting.

Entering the villa, there is a large open plan living/dining room and kitchen. The property has an immediate appeal. It’s construction is modern but the decor reflects the styling of the past which is tasteful and very comfortable. The colours are subtle shades of cream and coffee which work well with the stone work and pale blue windows and doors. There is a wonderful chandelier of old wine bottles suspended above the dining table, and other individual pieces of art making this a pleasing internal space.

The kitchen is fully fitted and of a high standard with breakfast table for ease of use in the morning. Steps lead down to the living room area which has high quality, comfortable furniture. There is a second ‘lounge’ area with fireplace and vaulted wooden ceiling. At the rear of this open plan space is a guest WC with shower.

There are four bedrooms in the property. The first double bedroom painted in a soft shade of rose is located on the living room level. It has an ensuite bathroom and large French windows which lead directly to the pool terrace. Each of the bedrooms has AC and its own TV.

Marble floors in cream lead upstairs where there is a second double bedrooms with vaulted wooden ceiling. French doors open onto a balcony at the rear of the house which looks over the interior of the island. There is also a double/twin bedroom with vaulted wooden ceiling and large French style windows leading on to a large veranda which runs the length of the front of the villa with wonderful views over the Ionian Islands. These two bedrooms share a high quality bathroom with shower and WC located in the hallway. The Master bedroom is a beautiful room with large double bed, walk in wardrobe, ensuite bathroom with high quality fittings, and French doors which access the large veranda on the front of the villa with stunning sea views.

Outside the is a large perogola running the length of the garden with ample shaded space for sitting and dining. The large pool (10mx5m) is surrounded by terracotta ceramic tiling. The garden is surrounded by mature shrubs and trees and provides the guests with a beautiful place to spend all moments of the day in absolute privacy. There is ample parking to the rear of the property.

Some of the best areas of the island can be accessed very easily from this villa. It is possible to hire a boat locally and to explore the stunning Bay of Islands which lies just a little further down the coast. Vasiliki with its world-renowned watersports facilities is a short drive away and Sivota, one of the most charming fishing villages of the island, is just below the villa. Even Lefkada town is easy to reach within about 30 mins.
