Excellent 3 bedroom villa with large private pool, close to beach and in a quiet part of southern Kefalonia.
Rodia is ideal for family of up to six or two couples wanting an easy holiday in peaceful surroundings with beach and amenities close by.
Villa Rodia is situated in a traditional and quiet area on the southern side of the island where many of the best sandy beaches are found. The property sits on a large, private estate with views out over the sea towards the uninhabited island of Dias. The villa combines the benefits of having both a private pool and being only 180m distance from the beach.
The villa is all on one level. There is a very spacious open plan main room with comfortable living area with sofas and armchairs, a dining area for 6 and a smart and very well-equipped kitchen. French windows lead out onto a large outdoor terrace overlooking the pool and garden. There are 2 double bedrooms and 1 twin bedroom and 2 bathrooms. All the furnishings and fittings throughout are of excellent quality.
The villa is surrounded by a very large garden that overlooks the sea. The outdoor dining terrace has a large dining table and barbecue facilities. Beyond this terrace is a large private swimming pool (40sqm) with plenty of teak loungers for sunbathing around the pool.
A small country road leads down to a very pretty, quiet local beach which is usually sandy (approx 5 mins walk). For those wanting more facilities, the long sandy beach at Avithos with its sun loungers, tavernas and cafes is about a 5 min drive away. The nearest tavernas are about 1km away (3 mins by car - it is uphill to the village and tavernas so a car is necessary). The main town of the island, Argostoli, is about 10 mins by car - it has a great variety of traditional tavernas, some quite sophisticated restaurants, bars, cafes around the marina, a wonderful daily fruit and vegetable market, plenty of shops and fresh fish sold off the caique boats in the quay.

We have now returned after 2 wonderful weeks in Kefalonia. We very much enjoyed Villa Rodia and the local beach at the bottom of the hill.
All this being said, we very much enjoyed ourselves and were very sad to leave.

Yes we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, the villa and the pool were lovely and we found that being able to conact your office extremely useful with any queries or problems and we received a good response as Anna and the cleaner were very helpful.
With regard to the standard of the villa which was excellent.
We loved the local shop in the village as the family owners were very welcoming. We thought that the local restaurants recommended on your list were excellent.
I would use Pretty Greek villas again when searching for a villa holiday as we have found that the service provided from the intitial stages of booking to be excellent.

Feedback
We had a great time at Villa Rodia, and loved the island of Cephalonia.
We particularly liked:
The general location in the south of the island
The villa's beautiful, tranquil surroundings
The lovely pool and BBQ area, with choice of 'dining' tables
The spaciousness of the villa
The 3-sliding-door system for every room (best seen anywhere)
The choice of aircon or fans (actually didn't need to use either)
The fact that there are 2 bathrooms (but see below).
