Breathtaking views and luxurious styling at this very special villa above Fiskardo
Villa Scirocco is in a breathtaking position above the Bay of Fiskardo. This exclusive and luxurious villa has spacious rooms where every comfort has been thought out to the finest detail.
The front entrance hallway opens out onto a double fronted open plan living room designed to take advantage of the stunning views over the bay and island of Ithaka. On the left is a very elegant dining area for four with doors leading directly out onto a shady terrace - perfect for breakfast or coffee in the mornings. Behind the dining area is a very well equipped kitchen especially for guests who enjoy fine cooking. On the right hand side is a beautiful living area with comfortable, elegant sofas with french windows overlooking the swimming pool and bay below. Next to the living area is a very elegantly appointed second bedroom which can either be made up as a double bedroom or with 2 single beds. Opposite this bedroom is a beautifully tiled bathroom with shower and WC.
From the hallway, a wide marble staircase sweeps up to the first floor master bedroom suite. The main part of the suite has a large double bedroom with open fireplace and vaulted ceiling. There is a separate large dressing room. The ensuite bathroom is absolutely stunning – it is set under the eaves with beautiful mosaic tiles, Victorian slipper bath and separate shower unit. From the suite, there are large doors leading out onto a fabulous, private terrace with panoramic views over the bay.
The villa has air-conditioning on both levels, SAT TV and DVD. The villa has twice weekly cleaning and changing of linens and towels. The gardner/poolman is there daily. Personal laundry is done by the housekeeper on request, and cooking can be organised at a small extra cost.
The villa is surrounded by a large stone-flagged garden with plumes of bougainvillea cascading over the walkways and elegant wrought iron and glass porches above each entrance. The large swimming pool is in the perfect position to take in the quite amazing views. On the far side of the terrace is the principal dining area set out under a large stone pergola with glass on one side facing the bay with a well equipped outdoor kitchen, BBQ and dining table for 6.
Villa Scirocco is well situated being only a very short drive from the picturesque fishing harbour of Fiskardo with its excellent tavernas, shops, restaurants and cafe bars. Foki Bay with its idyllic beach is only a few minutes by car.
Villa Scirocco is an exclusive and luxurious villa with breathtaking views over Fiskardo, the island of Ithaka, and the shores of mainland Greece. This is an ideal villa for couples looking for an exceptional property in Greece or a small family looking for the very best.

Hi Marie-Louise, Ben, Vickie and all at Pretty Greek Villas.
Sincere apologies for not sending this Email much sooner. I fully intended to, before we left Villa Scirocco but I was far too chilled..! Then work has got in the way this week .
On behalf of Karen and I, I must thank you for our best holiday ever!
The only downside? Leaving last Sunday!
We enjoyed this second holiday at Villa Scirocco even more than our first, in August 2015. It's always risky returning to somewhere one loved so much the first time, but this second holiday was even more wonderful.
As with last time, the USPs for Villa Scirocco for me are (in some vague order of preference..):
The location / breathtaking view;
The large infinity pool;
Sunrises especially viewed from the wonderful bedroom balcony;
Home from home - this is unlike any other holiday villa as it is clearly someones home. I noticed even more this time the care which has clearly gone in to designing the Villa, and furnishing it, the pictures, etc.;
Ajad, Mira and Raffa such a lovely family and, as you must have heard many times, Ajad cannot do enough, works so hard, keeps the patio and pool clean in spite of the wind, trees, flowers - and magically cleans inside the villa, every day, without one ever noticing he s there. Bed made every day. Sheets and towels changed every few days. Sheer luxury;
Patio sun all day - it is a significant bonus for Villa Scirocco, over probably any other villa, that one can get sun all day long at various places on the large patio
Car port - great to shade the car all day;
Furniture - how much patio furniture can one Villa have!
Bedroom - with the Air con, En suite & dressing rooms.
Extra shower room.
The nearby Magganos store
Fiskardo not far
I should add, though, that, especially during the first couple of days, we were quite adversely affected by far stronger winds than usual and then there s this summer's infamous plague of wasps and mosquitos. It was described to us by the owner of Acqua Bar as the worst seven yearly cycle peak he d ever seen on Kefalonia for wasps. I hate wasps, so at any opportunity I lit Greek coffee. The only viable deterrent. Karen didn t like the smoke but as I got stung once (at Acqua) I didn t want it again. Unfortunately, the wasps congregated mainly around the steps in to the pool. I mention this to you only just in case you have any guests booked in who are seriously terrified of wasps. Oddly, there were LESS wasps down in Fiskardo than last year. Assos was very badly affected, though. Enough of my negativity! None of this detracted from it being our best holiday ever.
We so love the Kefalonians, the food, the wine, the beer, the sea, the beaches.
We are quite lazy - we re not sailors or divers but we did at least venture beyond Fiskardo this year: to Assos - twice. We also went out with Fabio and Rob of Ionian Adventures (used to be Jamie). An amazing day out learning all about the Ionian Sea and its life. We highly recommend that Euro 65 day trip to anyone. We also had some wonderful early morning swims down at Foki Beach this year - before the crowds arrived.
As with last year, my favourite outing was to Le Passage in Fiskardo. For brunch - Greek coffee & Strapatsada or cocktails before eating elsewhere in the evening. We have become firm friends with the staff.
We also tried Theodora s for cocktails. There is a lovely view from the balcony but, for us, Le Passage easily has the edge in terms of the friendly staff and the delicious cocktails.
Karen s new favourite place, found this year (how did we miss it last year??) for the sunsets, mainly - is the Ibiza-like funky Acqua Bar at Alaties beach. We went twice. The one place in or near Fiskardo you really do have to book! Fabulous cocktails Negrosky and Margarita - meze, pasta with swordfish.
Restaurants? Excellent meals out again this year, in Fiskardo, Assos and nearby. In our order of preference (very hard to do!), they were:
1. Odysseus Taverna - twice: Belly pork & Lemon chicken. Meatballs & goat; 2. Elli's: Lamb Kleftiko; 3. Acqua Bar - twice - pasta; 4. Tassia's: Spaghetti with shell fish; Lamb casserole; 5. Assos Restaurant: Kefalonian meat pie; 6. Assos Platanos - lunch: sausage & giant beans; 7. Ajad's curry at the villa; 8. Foki beach Taverna - twice: Sea bream & chips; (lunch) omelette; 9. Iridia's: sea bass & sea bream.
We hired a Toyota Auris from Kostas again, thanks for arranging that! Great car, great value. I left my sunglasses in the car and, without me even asking, they have posted them to me! Such lovely people.
All in all, a totally wonderful holiday. Thank you.

We had a wonderful time, the villa was amazing very tastefully furnished. Adjad was brilliant an asset to your company, very helpful. Kefalonia itself is beautiful and the food was very good, the villa was exceptionally private as well that was great, we did not want to leave.
I have recommended your web-site to a lot of friends. We will definitely return..
I am self employed and am able to get away last minute so if there is any last minutes deals let me know.
Thank you all .

Our holidays at Scirocco was wonderful. The house is really fantastic, the pool is fabulous and the view across the sea and islands are unforgotable.
Of course friendly staff is also very important and giving additional charm to this place.
We were travelling all over Kefalonia, in our opinion the most wonderful and less comercialized of Ionian Islands
We are sure, that we'll be back there in next years.

We had a lovely holiday and very much enjoyed Villa Scirocco. We have been to Kefalonia many times now and have to say that the quality of the accommodation was very high and the views from the villa are exceptional. Ajhad (the housekeeper) keeps the villa and its grounds in excellent condition and was very pleasant.
We are happy for you to retain our contact details.

We loved our stay at Scirocco, thank you. The place was amazing, and the service from your company - particularly from Anna and Ajad - was outstanding from start to finish. I attach a picture taken at dawn to add to your collection.

John Dresser arrived 25/06/2015
We had a very good holiday and the villa was most enjoyable - especially the view. We will provide you with a brief report shortly as we know this is helpful.
Sorry for delay re feedback.
In general we had a delightful holiday at the villa Scirocco. We very much liked the place and the view was the best we have ever had in all our stays in Greek islands. The silence on most days was wonderful. The location of the property was good and the drive to Fiscardo was easy and quick enough. The outside/pool area was very, very good with an excellent array of chairs, tables, covered areas and sun umbrellas. Loungers and cushions were very good. Pool was also excellent, enhancing the view. The interior of the house was well appointed. A delightful house. The bedroom was a good size and the balcony made it even better. In general, excellent.
Carol Gearing arrived 23/05/2015
Hello Vickie, had a great time, three weeks away is a real rest.
Drove the Fiat Panda to Scirocco
Ajad was there in his usual welcoming manner - a real treasure
WELCOME PACK - we prearranged our shopping, Ajad purchased and it was put away for us. On this particular occasion the owner paid for it as a way of saying thank you, which was appreciated. Also the basics are all here, lovely coffee, spices and condiments, balsamic and olive oil, everything in fact !
BOOK on the house, Not sure there is one, haven't seen one - would be very helpful I think and to read about where others have been and walks etc.
VIEWS of the sea - Outstanding and takes my breath away every time .
KITCHEN - Everything one needs to cook great meals, I love cooking so in my element, lovely dishes and bowls, and plenty of crockery and knives and forks etc.
BATHROOM lovely deep bath.
INTERNET - Although it worked perfectly well on our previous visits until it was blown up by the lightning. This time, its very intermittent, difficult to watch a film as it keep stopping every couple of minutes and you need to keep rebooting the box. It was manageable but frustrating at times
LOCATION - excellent.
Kate Glanville arrived 25/07/2015
I just wanted to let you know what an amazing holiday my partner Nick and I had in Villa Scirocco. The villa was so beautiful and well equipped. We were both completely enchanted by the gorgeous furnishings and the way it was decorated inside and out. The attention to detail was amazing. The pool and view were of course breath-taking but there was a truly magical feeling to the villa. Ajad was wonderful and catered to our every need. You and Vickie were a pleasure to deal with and we felt very well looked after by you.
Thank you so so much for organising this for us, we will definatly be back to Pretty Greek Villas to book our future dream holidays.
Jeremy Duggan arrived 11/08/2015
Dear Ben, Marie-Louise & all the team,
Thank you! Thank you!! Thank you!!!
Villa Scirocco is amazing. The views are simply stunning ( - even in this morning's rain! :-) ). Everything is perfect. We have never stayed anywhere so complete with every little item provided. The welcome pack of food (wine, bread, water, etc etc) was a god send.
We didn't mean to on our first evening here but we did eat at Tassia last night. (Thank you for the tip!) Lamb casserole! MMMM!! We will be going back (for Karen's birthday next Tuesday). We plan to eat out alternative evenings.
We slept SO well on our first night - both of us nearly 12 hours..!? Then down to the famous supermarket in Magganos today. Simply amazing.
BBQ here this evening - after Karen makes cocktails to watch the sun setting.
I must make a special mention of Ajad. He is so kind, helpful, friendly, keen to please, polite, obtrusive. A key USP of Villa Scirocco, in my opinion. Oh & we must thank you for the Route 1 Directions. Another god send.
Though the new 'white' road is now black.:-) What an adventure Route 1 was (I'm more used to the M3 or M40!).
Thank you again.
You might find you have "squatters" here come next Thursday! ;-)
All best wishes,
Jeremy & Karen Duggan
Hi Marie-Louise, Ben and all the team,
Belated thanks again for our wonderful, perfect, best ever holiday at Villa Scirocco in Kefalonia!
Firstly, I wanted to thank you for guiding us to rent what turned out to be the perfect villa (for Karen and I), in the perfect location. We only married in May 2013 (both 2nd Time Arounders) and we commented last week: If only we'd found Villa Scirocco for our honeymoon. The villa is simply perfect in terms of it has everything included, the views, the infinity pool, the hammock, shade, space and a car port!
We must once again pay our highest compliments to Azad, the site housekeeper. He is SO patient, caring, diligent, unobtrusive, helpful, knowledgeable. He made our bed every day (which we weren t expecting) - but we still can t work out how he managed to do so without us even noticing. He supplied the two bottles of Prosecco I d requested thank you. He also taxi-d us down in to Fiscardo one evening when I simply asked him to recommend a local taxi. All in all the Villa + Azad makes for a stress-free, carefree holiday.
We fell totally in love with the green and beautiful northern tip of Kefalonia the people the views the food the restaurants.. tavernas.. bars.. and, the well-kept secret: Robola wine!
Thank you for recommending Tassia and Cave Verde in Fiscardo. We ate at Tassia twice and drank in Cave Verde most evenings! We also had a lovely meal at Elli's, right on the beach. We also ate at couple of other restaurants I can t remember the names of, but we failed to get as far as The Captains Table or Nicholas Taverna, which were both recommended to us. Our favourite place and time, though, became brunch at Le Passage (but NB: before the Greek cruise ships and ferries offloaded their hordes for a quick lunch!). I became addicted to Le Passage s medium strength Greek Coffee and Strapatsada (scrambled eggs with cheese, tomato and peppers).
Of course, the greengrocers in Maganos is amazing and then we found Ijursalem ( Jerusalem ) beach and Odysseus Taverna. I actually think we had the best food of all at Odysseus but that s being unfair to all the restaurants in Fiscardo. One tip for other Newbies: be very, very patient when you ask for the bill at the end of an evening meal. Once I got used to it, it was fine.
Intentionally, we did not travel far and we did not go out on the water. Maybe next time....
So, that finally leads me to the inevitable question: will Villa Scirocco be available in 2016?
If so, do you yet have prices and availability for 2016?
I'm hoping we can go outside August in 2016. If we did, when would you recommend? All that concerns me about holidaying earlier in the year, is the temperature of the pool and the sea.
Thank you again for our much needed holiday of a lifetime .
Jeremy & Karen Duggan
