Thank you once again for a really amazing stay at Sound of the Sea. Sophia is a wonderful and a charming host and truly nothing is too much trouble for her. The villa is so well equipped and so comfortable - plenty of space, equipment and facilities for us all without feeling cramped. There is nothing I can say that needs attention or could improve our stay, other than I wish we could stay for longer to research the local area more!

We were absolutely blown away with this villa. The space was immaculately presented, and the views didn’t disappoint. Everything was thought through so carefully- from a baked cake awaiting us, essentials in the fridge and pantry, to mid-week cleans and special touches like an outdoor shower and small parting gift to top it off. The hosts were incredibly kind and we felt so comfortable enjoying this slice of Greek paradise. Thank you to Spiros & Sofia for an unforgettable week. We will be back!

What a wonderful company, PGV have been fantastic from booking to departing. Nothing too much trouble, Marie Louise goes above and beyond, customer service at the very best, We cannot praise or thank her enough, we have booked for next year already! We had two perfect weeks in The Sound of the Sea. Truly cannot put into words just how magical it is here. Imagine turquoise sea literally on your doorstep..lying in bed listening to the sea, waking up to the sound of the sea…hours spent outside relaxing and soaking up the beautiful surroundings. Words cannot describe how perfect this place is, I almost don’t want to praise it in case it becomes too popular and busy! Our hearts were captured and forever will long to return. Cannot imagine a place as special exists. We will hopefully be returning and loving this blissful piece of heaven on earth until we are too old to travel!

The Sound of the Sea truly lives up to its name! After a few years of searching we have found our perfect chill-out spot now. If you have a fantasy/dream of living in a hut on a beach but do not really want to camp then this is the place for you. It is a lovely simple unpretentious villa and just in the most stunning location. There is nothing between you and the gently lapping waves - literally the sound of the sea!

STUNNING BEYOND COMPARE 

My sister and I were lucky enough to be able to book Sound of the Sea. What a truly marvellous experience it was. This is a beautiful villa tucked away in a secluded location with stunning views to enjoy all day long. 

Upon arrival we were greeted by Sophia and Spiro. They’re lovely warm welcoming people. They showed us around their much loved home. Absolutely everything was catered for. There was breakfast foods left for us: enough to last for the duration of our stay. Two baskets of locally produced fruit and veg were on the table.

The entire feel of the house is comfort. Sleeping there, I had some of the best sleep I've had in years. Incredibly comfortable beds with the actual sound of the Sea lapping against our own little beach throughout the night. The water was crystal clear and turquoise blue. You have to be there to appreciate exactly how awe inspiring this place is. The pictures cannot don’t tell the full and glorious story.

We swam in the sea every single day. We took a boat ride with Angelos, a local man who was familiar with the area. He was kind enough to catch and cook a traditional fish supper for us which was sensational. He joined us for the meal and we sat and talked into the early hours morning with him.

Don’t hesitate to book this place. Seeing is believing. Thank you. We’ll be back.

We loved our stay at The Sound of The Sea. Thank you for organising it for us. The house was lovely - it had everything we needed and it was great to have some provisions left for us by Sophia. The position of the villa was almost perfect. It was so nice to be able to swim in the sea every day. We were slightly disappointed that the taverna nearby was not open and we had to drive quite a way if we wanted to eat out. Having said that it was worth the compromise to stay somewhere which was so private. Having had two holidays with Pretty Greek Villas we are keen to book with you again as your service has been excellent.
Note from PGV: For the 2022 season, we are trying to arrange that the local taverna remains open from mid September and October at least at weekends

We had an excellent holiday at Sound of the Sea, it is a perfect villa for switching off and not doing very much which is what we were after. The villa is a gem, the layout lovely, especially the access to the water for our children being so close.
The welcome from the owners was also excellent, they left some very nice touches and we appreciate that using a company like yourselves will ensure a certain quality in terms of towels, toiletry products, etc. that made our stay simple.
The communication from yourselves at all stages was excellent, the information for the locality great and the help with regards directions also really good.
We have recommended you to several of our friends already who asked about where we went. We would happily be repeat customers if the opportunity arose.
The villa owners were really helpful, they handed us a really lovely
pack on leaving, the touches like this made the stay memorable.

We absolutely loved Sound of the Sea. It could not have been more
perfect for us.

The location is so extraordinary and the house so well equipped.
Spiros and Sophia are the most generous and hospitable of hosts.

We did very very little except stare at or swim in the sea. Especially loved the night lights allowing for moonlit swims. The view of the
milky way from the sea will stay with me forever. As will the azure dart of the hummingbird across the terrace.
We tend not to return to holiday homes, preferring to have fresh
adventures, but we will make an exception for this wonderful place as
it is so very very special.

The property is immaculate, cured in every single detail, I cannot find a single thing that is less than top level!

Absolutely perfect.
Ermioni by far the nicest place to eat and wander.
A day out in Nafplion was well worth it!

What a wonderful 3 weeks in Greece we have had - thank you so much for always being so responsive, helpful, and ultimately for helping us find those idyllic properties in both the Peloponnese and Kefalonia.
We have been singing the praises of PGV so I hope you will get some more enquiries.
SOTS hit about every wish list I have, and I am almost certain we would like to return there, but we are also keen to continue to
Explore Greece, and have adventures with our children, so I would also like to see what else is out there, maybe we can combine SOTS with somewhere else?
We loved how remote SOTS felt, and yet so comfortable.
Both properties had that rustic feel, which we loved, yet very
comfortable with a King sized bed for us (my husband is tall).
We felt so relaxed in SOTS, and I think part of the appeal was not
having to go anywhere - the sea was a few steps away, so no decision to pack up the children's things and go off to a beach, and also a taverna was 5 minutes walk away if we did decide to have a meal out - very easy and relaxed.
I am quite a keen swimmer, and what I loved almost the most about
Greece is your gorgeous sea - the warmth and clear clear water. I swam every morning in SOTS, and from our beach at Amongst the Olives. For me, easy, walking access to a beach to swim in is essential.
For the children, they also like a pool, or sea which has a shallow
area to swim in (as 2 are not confident swimmers and get a little scared when the stones are big / urchins are lurking / or there's anything like water grasses underfoot!! They are not particularly brave!).
We found the walk to the private beach in Amongst the Olives too far for them, and also they did not like the bigger pebbles on the beach there for some strange reason they preferred the beach at Foki bay for instance, which has more of a swimming pool effect if you know what i mean.
So, a villa with a pool for them (especially if we took SOTS for part of the holiday, so allowing a change), or a beach a few steps away.
It is nice to have a large shaded area for them to play in and explore
the huge veranda at SOTS was ideal - we all just hung out, either
reading or playing games for most of the day and never once felt bored or too hot.
Equally, it is nice to have a large room inside, as in SOTS as the
children often played or relaxed a bit inside if they wanted to.
We don't mind a drive, and actually really enjoyed the drive to
Kefalonia, exploring the countryside along the way. We also loved the
adventure of a ferry ride, we would welcome this again.

As mentioned earlier, SOTS pretty much hit everything I could possibly want from somewhere, we were so happy there. I am very keen to go there again, but equally want to keep exploring - maybe we can combine the 2 - fingers crossed you can open our eyes to another adventure in Greece!

We had such a lovely time in the peace and tranquillity of the Sound of the Sea and were made very welcome by Sophia.
The information that we were provided before we went to Greece was excellent as was the service while we were there. The few queries we had were dealt with promptly and efficiently by Sophia and Pretty Greek Villas. We had never visited the Peloponnese before and thought it was a beautiful area with plenty to see and was so quiet compared to the islands – we plan to visit again at some point, possibly in the spring time when we can appreciate the flowers and do some walking in cooler temperatures.

Although there are already a lot of lovely pictures on your website (which are what first attracted us to the property), I thought you might like the attached one I took of the terrace at night time - it is a particularly lovely spot to pass the evening, drinking, eating, playing games and talking into the night. Do pass a copy onto Sophia.

We had an amazing time, the Sound of the Sea¹ is one of the most
beautiful places we have ever been too and we spent a lot of time
before the children travelling, If anyone is looking for a real break
peace and quite in a non touristic place then Sound of the Sea is for
them, the local people are lovely the taverna down the road was so
friendly (if they do not have the drink you like you to bring your
own), the villa owners were really helpful and Didyma was very
authentic with incredibly friendly shop owners and everything was so
inexpensive (one tip take small bank notes as they can not always change a 50 Euro note) and the caves were surreal.

We saw lots of amazing fish and even a large turtle, plus a range of
birds of prey, we even think we saw an eagle ( but we are not that
Well read on birds)

We had a really good day on Spetses ( Paradise beach with great Mellon cocktails) we have holiday there before and love it but we were so happy to come back to the quite and beauty of Salandi bay

Just to let you know that the villa was very well provisioned compared
with others we have stayed in. The owners were very kind and generous as well-giving us the food we asked for as well as a small present! Not your normal treatment! Cleaning was fine, rubbish was removed (again we would normally expect to do that).
Views from villa were great, and sea amazingly calm for most of the time.
The thunderstorms were a bit dramatic! Lovely and warm and sunny the rest of the time with very little wind mostly.
Your instructions and useful tips were very helpful
We did find good tavernas and restaurants in Kilada that were open and catering for the yachts still.
The Didima dolines were quite amazing too.
Enjoyed a trip over the mountains to Volcano, visited Mycenae, Nafpoli and Epidavros too. All worthwhile and interesting.

We had a wonderfully, relaxing family holiday and your assistance with planning, car hire and suggestions were fantastic (not to forget your calls over the holiday Anna to see we were okay - especially after we locked ourselves out!!!) The villa was perfect and it is a wonderful 'get away from everything' holiday. I am heading into an extremely busy period at work, so it was a perfectly relaxing time before the onslaught! We are having a really hard touch-down in the daily working life back
in Switzerland after such a wonderful time touring around Greece and
especially after this unique, great and superb week in this place
called "Sound of the Sea".
What a place to stay... words can hardly describe it!!

Both houses were great, not posh but traditional and beautifully
located right on the sea. Just what we wanted!!

I cant think of anything that didn't work well. perhaps we were lucky
but everything went like clockwork - houses, boats, cars.

We love Hydra and will definitely be back again soon.

We have only just got back from our stay
in Greece, which was as usual wonderful.
We had a really great time at Sounds of the Seas. Sophie was so lovely and so very hospitable. I real home from home. As we said to her, everything was in the right draw and there, just like being at home. We met the whole family one day in the butchers, as you do, and went across to visit her mothers house, where they were preparing for the daughters wedding.
Great excitement and cooking going on.
Also, the villa is beautiful in it's self.
We had a very memorable stay.

Sound of the Sea is perfectly summarised in the name of the villa - the only break to silence and absolute relax was… the sound of the sea. Never have we found a more relaxing villa, literally steps from the sea. All the plans we had to visit the surrounding area were jeopardised by the fantastic peace we found in that home by the sea.
The taverna down the shore spoiled us with such good - and easy to reach - lunches.
The owner, Sofia, so pleasant, so generous, brought us fresh produce from her gardens.
In Didyma, lamb spits and laughter constantly in the air was truly special: such a small hilltop town, but so lively!
The house decor was exquisite, as the owner.
I have not a single bit of criticism to make.
Very good choice.

The Sound of the Sea provided an excellent, idyllic break. In a beautiful, private and tranquil spot, the villa was everything we hoped for. Clean, well equipped and perfectly comfortable, we were very happy with our stay and felt very well looked after.
Everything was just perfect - ideal for a wonderful,
restful break away from the stresses of life. The key selling point for me was the position of the villa, being right next to the sea was truly a
priviledge and the name of the villa is very apt!

hospitable. We got to tour around a little also, going to Porto Heli and
into Didima, as well as spending a few days in Nafplio after we had

We had a great week at Sound of the Sea: lovely villa, very well presented, well equipped and with lots of nice touches (beach towels, loads of fresh herbs etc).
The boat rental is a lovely idea and was much anticipated in the run up to the holiday.
Special mention for Poseidon Sports, 100yds along the beach from Takis. Run by two Brits this is a very well set up sailing/windsurfing/kayaking operation offering teaching and rental. We rented a Hobie Cat from them and spend an afternoon blasting round in the Meltemi (any time the wind has a name you want to be on the water!). May be a good recommendation for other guests in the Porto Heli area or looking for a holiday in Greece that includes this type of activity.

Pretty Greek Villas facilitated a great holiday for our family. The Sound of the Sea was the ideal retreat for a busy family. Our two young girls enjoyed the shore break some 10 feet away from the front door. We saw lots of wildlife including a tortoise and an aquarium of fish. Totally relaxing (10 books red) we felt honoured to stay in what was the owners pride and joy. Very happy memories for us all.

We have had a most enjoyable holiday but we could have done with an additional two weeks !
I would like to thank you very much indeed for your kind and most efficient handling of our holiday at the Sound of the Sea.Everything was perfect,Vassilis is very pleasant and a very re-assuring driver, Heli Cars gave us excellent service and the two persons involved are very charming. Both companies are an asset to your organisation.

We found an excellent butcher in Kranidi and Alpha Beta in Porte Heli amply satisfied all our requirements
The fish tavernas in Kalida were excellent and often used by us
The house was very comfortable, clean and well equipped.
We have been unable to identify the tree species at the end of the terrace, do you have any idea?

Now we are back in Denmark with rain and cold weather so we miss Sound of the Sea very much. That house was more than perfect for us and we enjoyed every minute there. So I would be very glad if you would give our best regards to the family – I tried to tell the husband how glad we were spending time there, but I am not sure that his English was good enough to understand what I meant. It was worth every penny.
We had a great vacation and I am sure that we will return to Greece in the future

What can we say apart from absolutley fantastic. A beautiful
setting and so relaxing, of course we didn't want to leave.
The kids loved it as well and are keen to know if someone will make sure the cat gets fed because it has two kittens!!
The main taverna in Didyma had excellent food and were very
friendly.
Also we'd like to pass on the tip that the sandy beach at Kosta is
lovely with a
simple taverna on the beach. It might get busy but last week we were the only ones there.
We have already recommended the villa to various friends.
We are very grateful to you for recommending Sounds of the Sea and may well be back to see what you have next year!

We had a terrific time at the villa and thanks very much for all that you did to help plan this holiday. It really helps when travelling with small children. We thought the setting right by the beach could not have been more perfect and the villa itself is, well - just gorgeous! We enjoyed our day out on the boat with Takis.... It was really good fun and we actually managed to see dolphins that day which was a bit of a bonus. Anyway, many thanks for everything and Lucianne and I hope to be back in touch for next year!
