This stylish stone house surrounded by lush gardens is situated within an easy stroll of three spectacular white sandy beaches and a couple of excellent beach-side tavernas. Panoramic sea views unfold before you with the island of Kythira tantalising in the distance.
The villa is all on one inter-connected level comprising of two wings. The open plan area has been perfectly designed with a sleek and modern kitchen, stylish dining area in front, and a super comfortable living area with large sofas, colourful cushions and rugs. Large sets of french windows open out onto the terrace with fantastic views of Skoutari Bay.
A passageway connects the living area with the three bedrooms. There is a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom; the 2nd bedroom is with double bed, and the 3rd bedroom with twin beds. These two bedrooms share a bathroom. All bedrooms have french windows onto a terrace. Both bathrooms are very stylish with spacious glass shower units and splashes of colour.
The villa has WIFI, docking station for i-pod/i-phone, flat screen TVs, air-conditioning in all three bedrooms and ceiling fans in the open plan area.
Outside on the main terrace is a dining area shaded by a pergola. Surrounded by lush Mediterranean gardens, it has an uninterrupted view over the olive groves and surrounding countryside to the dazzling blue of the sea below. There are sun loungers, a hammock, plenty of places to relax and an outdoor shower.
This property is perfect for lovers of sea swimming. Just 120m away or a few mins by foot are three beaches of soft, white sand with sun loungers and umbrellas available. There are two excellent tavernas with tables right on the sand providing fresh fish caught daily by local fishermen. The white-washed taverna, the pretty little Byzantine church and the dramatic contours of Skoutari Bay complete a perfect picture.
In the local village 5 mins walk away is a mini-market and cafe selling all the essential items. Other shops can be found at Vathi 10 mins drive away. The beautiful sea-side town of Gythion with its Neo-Classical architecture is just 15kms away with a full range of shops, and the picturesque fishing village of Limeni with its array of sea-front tavernas is also just a short drive away. Boat hire is available at Limeni where there is also a diving centre.
The Mani has been described as 'the hidden coast of Europe'. Resplendent with history, it has a dramatic coastline with endless beaches fringed with pretty fishing villages. Inland the rugged Taygetus mountains with their fortified villages of stone towers offer dramatic and stunning scenery. Near Areopoli (a short drive from the villa) are the Drios Caves, a watery underworld of deep and extensive caves that you explore by punt with your very own ferryman. So much to explore and to discover in this once fiercely independent area of Medieval Greece.
