The Venetian Olive Mill with its gated garden and private pool is surrounded by an extensive ancestral olive grove more than 600 years old, with an adjacent 300 year old Olive Mill (today a museum) featuring a 17th c. threshing floor.
This five bedroom villa offers a high level of refinement and is tastefully furnished striking a perfect balance between traditional elegance and modern comfort and is surrounded by a mature, superbly kept, Mediterranean garden with an extended, Tuscan style, swimming pool.
On the ground floor is a large open plan living room with elegant dining area with a spacious country-house style kitchen. Guests can relax at the beautiful outdoor living and dining areas enjoying drinks as well as al fresco meals under the stars. The main terrace provides sun and shade, and breathtaking views of undulating olive groves and vineyards.
There are two bedrooms on the ground floor. The first bedroom can be either a double/twin room with ensuite bathroom, and has direct access to the pool and terrace; the second bedroom has a queen-size bed also with ensuite bathroom. There is an additional bathroom on this level.
Upstairs are two further bedrooms. A master bedroom with king-size bed and a lovely balcony with beautiful views over the rolling Grecian landscape. The 4th bedroom can be either a double/twin room. These two bedrooms share a family bathroom decorated with mosaic tiling.
The 5th bedroom has its own independent access from the grounds and is located on the lowest level of the villa. This bedroom can be either a double/twin room and has its own ensuite bathroom, and a very pretty outdoor living area.
Extensive lawns, beautifully planted gardens, elegantly furnished terraces, and the stunning Tuscan-style swimming pool lying tantalisingly at the heart of the property provide a relaxed and serene ambience in complete privacy. In addition, guests can enjoy the grounds in the magnificently restored 19th century Olive Mill within the wider estate, and also enjoy dining there too.
What makes though this property unique is its talented in-house chef who prepares breakfast, snacks and 1 main meal per day included in price of the villa (drinks and ingredients are extra). Aside from the chef, a daily housekeeper is also included in the price.
Additional highlights for guests are daily cruises with the property’s skippered motor cruiser, as well as yoga classes (and massage sessions) in the stunning 19th Century. Olive Mill courtyard.
The property is in an excellent location situated on a slope on the southwest coast of Cephalonia with sweeping views of olive trees and cypresses rolling down all the way to the blue, crystal clear, waters of the Ionian Sea. The sandy beach of Trapezaki is just 1.9 km away, easily reached by a short hike or quick drive. Additional sandy beaches are reached in a few minutes by car. Local shops and tavernas are around 1km away.

We all very much enjoyed our stay at your beautiful villa and our 10 days in Kefalonia and will definitely return.
I particularly appreciated the beautiful gardens and care you have taken designing them. Dinner outside the olive mill was a definite highlight. We went to Dennis Restaurant for lunch three times as everyone thought the food delicious but not as delicious as the remarkable Yolanda’s cooking and Effie’s relentless care. They both work extremely hard and arrive and leave smiling.
We will certainly recommend the villa to our friends and recognised one or two families in the guestbook. We have just received some professional photos taken by a local photographer. A wonderful memory.

What a wonderful place in which to celebrate our friends' special birthday. The house; the warmest of welcomes; the delicious ( and highly calorific) meals; the restorative pool and gardens were much enjoyed by all. Yolanda, Effie and Lysander couldn't have done more to enhance our stay- and ebven our fabulous skipper and his mate, Hercules,came to the rescue with an impressive "Bondesque" dive to recover one of our group's watches from the sea bed.
We shall all return home with happy and lasting memories of our boat trip, The villa, the stunning Grecian landscape and of course, Yolanda's most excellent cuisine!

Since we are leaving tomorrow, I wish to highlight the fact that the villa is indeed wonderful, elegant and comfortable, while the gardens are particularly beautiful. Chef Yolanda is a great cook and we enjoyed all our meals. Effie, the chambermaid, was lovely and very helpful. All in all, it made for a great and memorable holiday.

I wanted to let you know that my family and friends of 8 fully enjoyed our recent stay at your villa in Kefalonia on June 22 - June 29.
The Villa was beautiful just exactly as presented on the website which was my first impression that I decided that’s where I wanted to be. Exceptionally clean. Warm , inviting, casually elegant are just a few words I could use. We were welcomed by Lysander, Yolanda and Effie and knew we were in good hands. The breakfasts and dinners were better than restaurants we have experienced and to be able to have this service as well as housekeeping allowed us to spend more time together as a family. A highlight of our trip was 2 boat days out of Fiskardo on MY Yacht. These days were spent cruising the island, stopping to swim and paddle board. Having lunch in small villages and sipping on wine and eating fruits. So glorious!
The villa was my personal favorite I loved that and would have been so happy to spend more time even my whole stay in that building.
Prior to the trip Lysander was so helpful in answering my questions, helping with rental cars etc.
This trip was to celebrate my birthday and to have my family all together. We have had a fabulous time and it was everything and more that I hope it would be.

We are 2 families + 85 yo grandma here on a niece's wedding and a to more!
We have enjoyed incredible meals with Yolanda's cooking & Effie's help every day.
Every meal was so special and Yolanda's desserts were amazing. Many felt her cheesecake was the best they've ever tasted!
Lysander was very welcoming and Jeff & I appreciated his local tour and the evening ay the olive mill.
Our weather was almost perfect and we enjoyed Lourdas beach, Trapezaki beach, St. Thomas beach & Pessada beach. And adjacent cafes for most of those beaches for lunch. The day-trip motor boat excursion with 4 skin-diving locations & a vista stop on Ithaca island was special. Yolanda & Effie, we love your energy and pride in your work and your spirit!
