Budget-friendly villa close to Fiskardo with private pool and spectacular views

The Vineyard is a stone walled property with stunning views over the islands of Ithaka, Lefkada, Meganissi and the mountains of the Mainland Greece. It sits just above an old vineyard in a peaceful position on the hillside directly above the fishing town of Fiskardo.
The house is all on one level with a small open plan living/dining/kitchen area. The living area has comfortable furnishings and is stylishly decorated. The kitchen is small but equipped with large fridge/freezer, full-size oven and dishwasher. Please note the preparation space for meals is limited so it's suitable for breakfasts, making snacks or the odd meal when not going to a taverna. There is also a small indoor dining table. French windows open onto one of the best features of the property which is a wonderful, large terrace running the length of the villa where there is a very spacious outdoor dining area with table for six, shaded by an umbrella and featuring a barbecue. In the centre of the terrace is a great outdoor shaded living area from which you have the most sublime view over Fiskardo Bay and surrounding islands.
The master bedroom has a king-size double bed with en-suite bathroom with bath-tub and hand-held shower. French windows open onto the terrace. The 2nd bedroom can either be made up with king-size double bed or twin beds that can be separated. This bedroom has its own ensuite bathroom with spacious shower unit. This bedroom also has French Windows opening onto the terrace. There is also a very small single bedroom off the bathroom that can be used if guests need a little extra space.
From the terrace, a pathway leads to a small private swimming pool (7m x 3m) with sun loungers and an umbrella. From the swimming pool terrace, you can enjoy wonderful views over the bay.
The property has air-conditioning, Satellite TV, DVD, fast WIFI and twice weekly maid service.
The Vineyard is well situated being only a short drive from the picturesque fishing harbour of Fiskardo with its excellent tavernas, shops, restaurants and cafe bars. Foki Bay with its idyllic beach and excellent taverna is a few mins away by car. For guests who enjoy hiking in the cooler months, there is an old mule path down to Foki bay through the cypress forest. The village of Magganos is about a 5 min drive away with various tavernas and excellent grocery shop for fresh produce. Boats can be hired in Fiskardo and guests can enjoy the many pristine bays and coves around this northern part of the island as well as those on Ithaka opposite.
This villa is a perfect size for a couple looking for a quiet, private and special location. It can also work very well for a family of up to four. The villa has been priced as a 'budget-friendly' villa due to the small size of the kitchen, and its proximity to the next villa (detached). At all times guests' privacy is respected - the neighbouring villa is not rented but is occupied by the delightful owner 'Marilena' who many of our guests mention very positively in their comments, please see below.

I have booked countless holidays over the years (many years!) and you are without doubt the best agent I have ever dealt with. Your efficiency and helpfulness is first class and is very much appreciated.
We had a wonderful time thanks and thank you again for making the late changes to our booking. It was lovely to see Marilena again and everything went perfectly and Kokolis gave us a virtually brand new car.
We still have lots of things we'd like to do in Kefalonia and we're planning to go back to The Vineyard next year - Will be in touch.

We had a very nice time at the Villa and the location was excellent. Marilena made us very welcome and during our stay was super helpful, and nothing was too much trouble. Cleaning and laundry was very much appreciated. Rather than a welcome pack of food - Marilena treated us to a local meal - which was a very nice touch. The outside seating areas were nice with fantastic views over Fiskardo bay.

Marilena couldn't have been nicer or more helpful although there were a few things beyond her control! The view is totally spectacular and we thoroughly enjoyed swimming with such an incredible backdrop. The wall facing the view with shutters is also lovely. We had a fabulous week in Cephalonia and loved Fiscardo. I am a travel writer and writing a piece on Cephalonia for families so it was a great base to explore the local area. We will definitely be back.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful time we had staying at the small vineyard. The villa is wonderful, and so peaceful and tranquil. Ajad looked after us so well - nothing was too much trouble, and we really appreciated the beautiful cake for our wedding anniversary. It was just superb. I would highly recommend it and hope to visit again.
