Turquoise Beach Cove

Turquoise Beach Cove Villa is situated in a privileged and private position above the beach of Makris Gialos with its shiny golden sands and translucent turquoise waters. Shaded by age-old pines and surrounded by lush vegetation, steps lead directly down to a private entrance from the estate onto the beach.

The residence is the original villa of the estate - there are four other villas built by this former ship-owning Kefalonian family and each has its own privacy, spacious terraces and gardens. 

Turquoise Beach Cove has been designed perfectly for entertaining. The very large open-plan living room has many comfortable places to lounge and chill out with steps leading up to a fully equipped kitchen that is perfect for cooking and entertaining on a grand scale. From this open plan space large French windows lead out onto a very spacious terrace where there is a very large and comfortable outdoor living area with plenty of sofas and chairs, and a wonderful outdoor dining area featuring a huge round marble table which rotates to allow easier and elegant access for guests when dining. This large front terrace is shaded by a pergola and huge old pine trees, in front the elegant green lawns and that incredible vista of turquoise sea

Inside, the villa is on two levels. Walking through the open-plan living room area there are a couple of steps leading to a separate wing with two bedrooms. To the right of the hallway is the first bedroom with double bed, straight ahead a second bedroom with two single beds and to the left a bathroom with shower. Both bedrooms have access to a private terrace surrounded by the pine forest, and with their own independent access from the terrace to the parking area. 

Walking back into the main living room of the villa, there is a further marble bathroom (with shower) just before the staircase. This bathroom is useful as a guest bathroom, or as an extra bathroom for guests sleeping on the ground floor.

Upstairs, there are two very spacious master bedroom suites. Both with super king size beds, living area, terraces and en-suite bathrooms. 

A favourite place to sit is the spacious and elegant terrace just above the sea - so beautiful, quiet and comfortable with its spacious chairs and table. You can spend hours just bathing in the incredible view over the sea. It's a perfect spot for an evening apertivo or cocktail as the sun sets. 

At the end of the garden, a stone walkway leads down to some steps where there is a private gate from the estate onto the beach. At this point the beach is quiet since it is screened from the main beach by a series of rocks. It is a perfect area for snorkelling off the rocks, as well as for little kids since the sea is calm and shallow with sand underfoot. On the way back up to the villa, there is a handy outside shower area as you come up the steps.

Makris Gialos has an excellent beach bar at the other end of the beach- which you can swim/walk to within about 10 minutes. Otherwise it is a 10 min walk down a pine-shaded road. The shops and cafes of Lassi are situated within about a 10 min walk. We would recommend car hire for this villa since the best restaurants, tavernas, cafes, bars and shops of the area are generally situated around Argostoli the elegant main town of the island with its beautiful piazza about a 5-6 minute drive from the villa.
