Villa Aecus is a fabulous sea-fronted property with an impressively large swimming pool (20m x 10m) that accommodates up to 21 guests in comfort and style.

The property consists of a main house and three guest houses which are linked by stone and terracotta pathways shaded by pergolas entwined with highly scented flowers of the Greek isles.

The main house is astonishingly beautiful featuring paintings and art work, bright and summery colours with a traditional, Anatolian theme throughout. Pergolas run the length of the building offering shade on each side. The kitchen is very well equipped and traditional in style with doors at both ends to allow easy access to the outside dining area. A doorway connects to an exquisitely beautiful dining room with two sets of french windows leading to the shaded verandas. The living room features a large glass window framing the sea and is decorated with beautiful artwork and objets d’art. The room is very comfortably furnished and has french windows leading directly to the pool terrace.

Upstairs are two bedrooms: A master bedroom with double bed and en-suite bathroom with large veranda looking over the sea; and a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom and private veranda overlooking the garden.

The first two guest houses are nestled into the surrounding gardens and are equal in standard to the main house. The first guest house has three bedrooms each with en-suite bathroom. The first is a master bedroom with double bed featuring a fireplace and beautiful furnishings. The second bedroom has twin beds and is decorated with colourful kilim rugs. The third bedroom also has twin beds with a cool, terracotta tiled floor. Outside is a vine-covered pergola and charming antique bench offering a perfect place to repose in the stillness of the surrounding gardens.

Little walkways through the lushness of the garden lead to the second guest house which has two guest suites that are connected internally but also have their own separate entrances from outside should guests prefer to have two separate spaces. The first guest suite has a twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom and its own triangular shaped courtyard with drapes running down one side. Behind the drapes is outside storage and a fridge. On the other side of the guest house is the second suite consisting of two bedrooms both with en-suite facilities: a charming master double bedroom, and a twin bedroom that also has bunk beds and is suitable for up to 4 children. There is a lovely outside sitting area with ample shade and colourful outside furniture.

The 'Gardener's Cottage' can accommodate up to 4 guests and has a hallway, small kitchenette and two bedrooms - one bedroom with double bed, and one bedroom with 1 single bed and one sofa. These bedrooms share a bathroom with shower and WC.

The property has WIFI and air-conditioning throughout. There are two members of staff who prepare breakfast daily, and clean and tidy. As additional extras, a cook can be provided and there is also a driver available to run errands, do the grocery shopping and take guests to and from the port and Aegina Town.

The entire property is surrounded by lush gardens with plenty of sun loungers and places to relax around the huge pool (20m x 10m) with umbrellas and many shaded areas for the hottest times of the day. There is an outside kitchen designed to a professional standard with built-in barbecue as well as a wonderful outdoor dining area. In front of the main house is a very comfortable outdoor living area with elegant wicker furniture. Each area of the property discovered by guests offers the perfect environment for its given purpose, should that be a chat over a glass of ouzo, a game of backgammon or that perfect lunch followed by an afternoon nap.

From the property, guests have direct access to the sea. The coastline has many beautiful little coves and there is also a taverna within walking distance. Colourful and artistic Aegina Town with its boutique shops, cafes, bars, excellent tavernas and dazzling fish, fruit and vegetable markets is a short drive away or approx. a 30 minute walk.

Villa Aecus is one of those rare properties - right on the sea, with one of the largest private pools we have seen to date, furnished artistically and comfortably, within walking distance to a taverna, and on one of Greece’s more authentic and undiscovered islands which is easy to reach from Athens Airport.

Aimee B. arrived 18th August 2023
Thank you for your email - we had a wonderful time!  The villa was beautiful and just right for our family.  It was lovely to be so close to the sea and the pool was amazing.  Having Sidoul there overseeing everything was so helpful - he was able to speak to taxi drivers if they did not know where the house was to collect us, arrange for delivery of water bottles for the water cooler, and a hundred other small things that made our stay go very smoothly.  Soula and Mr Nekatarious were also so friendly and helpful.  We all really enjoyed our stay.  The less mobile of the party were reliant on getting taxis into town.  However, the more mobile among us found the walk into Aegina Port very manageable (myself and my husband walked with our little boy most days to town for ice cream and sun downers) and it was great to have a little shop 10 minutes walk away.

We have been very happy with PGV and would certainly book with you again in the future.

Nash Family arrived 7 August 2020

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Aecus. Thank you very much PGV for all your help in organising our holiday, for the upgrade to a superior villa and in particular for your understanding in not invoicing for the balance payment, until Covid related measures were known. This was a very helpful and customer focussed policy which has gave me confidence to go ahead with the trip and to travel with PGV again in the future.

Caroline von B. arrived 1st Sept 2019

We had a wonderful week, the villa was amazing and so well equipped. All the rooms were very comfortable and everyone agreed it was a good location. The taverna very close by the beach was great for an informal meal if we didn t want to eat in, and we were told they would cook for us to take out if we wanted to eat at home, but we didn t in fact do this. We ate there two evening and one lunchtime. We went into town other evenings, visited the temple and had a day out on a boat trip visiting other islands and swimming in the sea, but frankly we were happy to spend time by the beautiful pool.
What was lovely was the feeling of staying in a home rather than a holiday villa.
Please thank all your staff who helped to make our holiday so enjoyable.

Best wishes
Caroline

Lois F. arrived 25th May 2019

We had such a superb time at the villa. The accommodation was so well thought out for a stay, nothing was wanting.
The pool was superb, the gardens beautiful, the house gorgeous and the views to die for. The space offered was excellent as there was so much that if anyone needed some private time they could take themselves off. We used the outside kitchen/bbq for all our evening meals which was a really well equipped space.
The team behind the villa were absolutely charming and nothing was too much trouble. We wanted to pack them all up and
bring them home with us. Absolutely loved them all.
We had an evening meal cooked at the start of the holiday which was absolutely delicious. The owner met us and talked us through the house when we arrived which was thoughtful and personal.
They have really cracked giving the perfect holiday villa.
Pretty Greek Villas also matched the service. You have been very patient with all the organisation that involved getting 5 couples
from different areas and times to the villa. Communication was excellent.
I would highly recommend both booking through yourselves and the villa to anyone who is thinking of booking. It was a very
special 60th birthday holiday break for me.

Best wishes to all.
Lois

Lynne K. arrived 4th Sept 2018

The holiday was wonderful and all of you at PGV did a great job...from the beginning when it took me ages to work out which villa to choose to the transport details which where organised so late but perfect. ML even sorted us out with alternative transport when the ferry strike hit us unexpectedly.
The villa was marvellous, I have stayed in many villas but this was the best equipped I have ever come across. The pool was incredible and the sunbathing and shade areas wonderful. The sunsets every night from our bedroom terrace overlooking the sea were breathtaking. We loved Aegina town and visited the temple and Perdika which were both memorable. We swam in the sea from the rocks opposite the villa and went to a couple of organised beaches.

Soula came and cleaned for us most days and cooked quite a few lunches and dinners. This was good greek cooking and we loved it and there was so much to eat that we always had plenty for the next day. It was such a joy not to have to shop often the prepare so many meals and clear up. A true holiday. The handy man ( whose name I forget) was always available and helpful and the kept the pool immaculately. Neither were intrusive.
Aegina was truly a Greek island as we knew them in the 70 s and that was exactly what we wanted but the villa had air conditioning in the bedrooms which brought the villa up to date.
Would we go back ...yes we would. Would we use PGV again. Definitely.
Thank you again for such a wonderful holiday.

Best
Lynn

Margot D. arrived 20th Aug 2018

Sad to say our holiday is over. The villa met all our expectations and was fine. The last night barbecue was not the chef experience we planned for but the birthday cake you sent was a big hit! We broke one plate in the kitchen and I informed Nektarios the caretaker.
I had hoped to hear from you guys during our stay - just a call or email to check we were satisfied. The cleaning lady made breakfast and did a bit of light cleaning and was usually gone by10:30-11 each day. We did not use her for lunch aside from the first day.
We enjoyed our stay on the island

Thanks again
Margot D.

Shlomo S. arrived 12th Aug 2018

We had a very good vacation. The children loved the villa.
Thanks again. We shall have to decide for next year.

Thank you for the email I wanted to write you anyway to thank you for our amazing stay in the Villa on Aegina. We all really loved it there. Everything went perfect and we had a lot of fun on Aegina. Thank you for all the help throughout the year and for our amazing stay at the Villa.

Best wishes,
