Anna House

Anna House has been recently restored to high architectural and artistic standards while preserving many original features. The result is a happy synthesis of new and old, a light and tranquil oasis just a short walk from the Old Harbour and town of Spetses.

The property is on two levels. The heart of the house is on the ground floor level where there is a fully equipped kitchen that is really stylish with large fridge/freezer, country-house style oven/hob, dish-washer, Nespresso machine etc. The modern artistic styling integrated with classical features is perfectly articulated in this space – beautiful Neo-Classical tiling on the floor, contrasting with burgundy paint-work, modern style lighting and the minimalistic retro wooden dining table down to the meticulously restored original marble sink. The living room on the ground floor has comfortable, powder-blue L-shaped modern sofa with elegantly restored chairs in modern Designer Guild fabric and oak parquet flooring. The living room has many modern, colourful artistic touches, and features an impressive original Ottoman mantle with fireplace. There is also a smart TV.

From the kitchen, you access the ground floor bedroom wing through double doors . First down the passageway is a room with small double bed; then there is a separate stunning bathroom featuring tsimentagonia walls, beautiful terrazzo flooring, modern lighting, marble sink, stylish, and one of many of the beautiful mirrors that are found throughout the house. Through another set of doors is a serene and beautiful bedroom with super-king size bed, oak flooring, thick white shutters and walls – a divine space to rest and have a good night’s sleep. 

The upper level can be accessed either by the external stairway from the garden though a beautiful art-deco door, or internally from the kitchen via the original wooden box staircase that has been magnificently restored.

There is a central open plan living space with comfortable sofas and chairs around a large smart TV, a stylish kitchen area and a dining table that would also be practical for anyone needing to do a bit of smart working whilst away.

On the right hand side large double doors lead to bedroom 1 with super king-size bed and  a mezzanine level with a cosy loft-style sleeping area suitable for 2 children or a single teenager/adult.

The bedrooms are beautifully furnished throughout with a high level of detail, and both feature very stylish en-suite bathrooms with marble sinks, stylish showers, modern lighting, beautiful mirrors and the unique terrazzo flooring blending perfectly with the oak parquet. 

The villa benefits from a state-of-the-art fan coil cooling system - considered to be better than traditional air-conditioning. The system improves air quality, it is energy efficient, much quieter and allows for more precise control of the temperature in a given space, and can be used to cool or heat a room.

The layout of the house being interconnected and but also on two independent levels makes it a very flexible and well-designed space for either an extended family, or two families on holiday together. 

Outside, on the upper level is a terrace with table, chairs and umbrella looking out towards the sea. On the ground level is the courtyard garden - very private and quiet punctuated by sculptural trees and plants and featuring a beautifully designed oasis pool with outdoor shower, and chill-out zone with large pillows and modern style loungers. 

Please note that since the property has just been completed (winter 2023), we will take new photos in May 2024 of the garden and the new outdoor dining table and chairs suitable for 9 guests. 

Anna House is situated in a great spot on the island –  from here it is a short walk to both the Old Harbour and to Spetses Town, and guests can also walk to the beach at Aghia Marina. We believe Anna House is an excellent choice of property for all guests looking for an exceptionally high standard of villa, in a quiet location, with easy access to everything the island has to offer, and without the need for bike hire.
