The beauty and history of this former olive mill are evident from the moment you enter this pretty Venetian village with its 17th Century church and bell tower forming a picturesque backdrop to the extensive and exclusive grounds.

A cool, spacious hallway features a large millstone with doors leading right and left to the different areas of the house. To the left are two doors, the first leads to a study/office, the second to a comfortable reading room and library, French doors leading to the pool terrace ahead and to the right are two doors leading to the three bedrooms.

The office and reading room each have steps leading up to the large, comfortable and elegant living room with refined taste and with cool flag-stoned floors. Large and comfortable sofas are set around a fireplace, and at one end a large dining table. This room is beautifully furnished and features French doors which lead out to the terrace with its arbour-shade and BBQ area on the swimming pool side of the property. The living room also features a Romeo and Juliet style balcony which hangs over the guest house below.

A separate set of stairs lead down to the fully fitted kitchen which has its own entrance for convenience and access to the courtyard featuring an area for al fresco dining, perfect for breakfast or just ease of serving some of the delicacies conjured up inside.

On the other side of the entrance hallway are three bedrooms. The first master bedroom, with double bed and ensuite bathroom is perfect for a couple. The second door leads to a corridor accessing the second master, a third double bedroom and a separate bathroom shared between the two.

Downstairs, with separate entrance is a guest house which is artistically furnished and self contained. It features a kitchenette, sitting area, ensuite bathroom and large double bed. It gives a feeling of independence and space to the property and would be perfect for young adults, teenagers or just a couple wanting a little independence within the group.

The gardens meander around all sides of the property and feature statues lurking in the arbours and between the indigenous shrubs and plants. Scents waft by in the coolness of the evening as the garden becomes enchanting singing its hellenic lullaby.

The swimming pool is practically located, easily accessed from many rooms of the house and situated at the end of a large, grassy lawn featuring ancient olive trees.

Villa Inspirante is an elegant property and a perfect refuge for a family or group of friends searching for a noble and aristocratic experience on the island of Corfu. Once the home of some famous expatriate compatriots of note. Marvellous!
